It's fun to go wild in the game designer, but there are a few things to keep in mind if you so choose: -Think of the ships you will fight when you design your ship. Choose a gun caliber and shell type based on how much armor your opponents will have and at what range you will fight at. -Beware of building glass cannons! Use the penetration tables to decide how much armor you need. Deck penetration in this game is very OP so you will need much more deck armor than irl. Armoring against your own shells at the ranges you plan to fight at is usually a safe bet.

Technically Stealth a bracketing shot is usually 2 shots, one long and one short, then your gunnery system gets the sweet spot. The game just uses one for the simplicity but you probably already knew that.

There were several ships in the Russian navy named "Дерзкий" (brash, audacious).There were also "Бойкий" (shrewd ), "Напористый" (insistent) and some others that have a similar ring to them. So not too surprised there.

Maybe if ship end up "sinking" cus of struct shouln't straight up sink ,maybe it should stay afloat until the float runs out but there's nothing can do to stop it. If the ship have full float while this happen she should just stop firing and providing any thrust so she will slow down and just stop in the end. It is also place for improvement about ship instantly stop when they sink.

You forgot the tall secondaries barbette, you could put more 8 incher, 3 stacks superfiring? Hmm, do the game limit the number of secondary tower? That middle space is enticing to put double secondary towers IMO.

Using quad 20 inch guns is like Tuesday in from the depths.

Nice work on adjust the scenario. No BB battle begins at 4000M the ships are just too damn large and visable except at night or in very bad weather. I wish the scenario makers would think things through a bit. For example a French Super BB? Nah .. how about more realistic. France had fears about future attacks on their nation. So just like their planning for the Maginot Line, they wanted to be ready for the worst. They had been secretly developing plans for larger BB's, just in case the International Naval Treaties failed. And when they did collapse, they were able to rush into production two 45-50,000 ton BB's with three quad 16 inch (410 mm or so) main guns (use your imagination for other 1940's tech). Unfortunately the German Blitzkrieg came before they were completed. But they were far enough along the two sister ships were able to sail away off to British ports to be completed (even the British saw the value in two mostly complete BB's so completing the free French bb's to them was a bargin). Joined by other other Free French naval ships, the pair began operations off the coast of South American in 1941, seeking to ensure no trade got through to Axis powers, protecting Allied trade, and using British possessions for supplies as needed. The Germans on the other hand had managed to slip several raid fleets past the British into the Atlantic, and now had a sizable fleet based in Brest after both the Bismark and Tirpirtz managed to get to under cover of night and fog undetected. One issue I have with people that play this game is that they use all they're tonnage for guns but leave nothing for armor. I understand everyone plays differently but having the biggest guns don't do anything if you can't hit anything from far away and can't afford to get in closer for better accuracy because of no armor.

The Richelieu had two 4 barrel 15 inches turrets FORWARD. It would have made for a completely different battle. By the way your French pronunciation is excellent, congratulations!

i think any quaid guns that are over 12" or 16" inches is not worth for the damage output! becsue most battle ships don't have side or deck armor thicker then 16" inches becsue of the shear wight! four trpiple 16" inch guns is alot even for a world war II battleship! like even the bigest battle ships can't have anything biger then that! theres no point of haveing guns biger then 16 inch guns! thelargest guns you shuold use is 16" inch at the most! you shuold instead just use quaid 16 inch guns at the largest calber and focus on more armour thats at ltest 16 inch on the sdies! becsue the deck nomaly dosn''t get hit most of the time and even still becsue of the angle that ship shels hit the deck means the deck amor is acly like 3 to 8 times more efective resistant to the amor pen calbier! becsue of the shell angel makes the deck amor thats 5" inch acaly srug off 8" to 12" inch guns becsue of shell angle by the time it hits! focus on thick belt and side amour and have a bit less deck amour untill air craft carrers and aircraft are implented plus you can have alotr more 16" inch quaud guns and have alot more ammo too!
