You know now i wish i had put more barrels on mine as i completely underestimated the ship and how much it can hold, so you or History Guy definitely win this one on number of barrels alone!

There's a reason that the enemy battleships were constantly getting flash fires. I'm not 100% sure but I think the game calculates the chance of one happening based on the amount of times a shell hits a certain spot and causes damage over a short amount of time and resets after a few seconds of not taking any damage. Basically the more a single area gets hit in a short time span the higher the chance of each consecutive hit causing a flash fire. I think the ships were getting hit so often that they never had a chance to reset.

This would have been a great opportunity to finally figure out that the ships are no longer firing full salvos most of the time since the last two updates. Stop jumping around and just watch your ship fire for awhile. A full salvo will fire, than a partial salvo, usually just two guns, then a full salvo ect .... each time waiting for a full reload ..... basically the amount of shells you can send down range has been cut by about 1/3. .

As an idea, fastest to sink 20 convoys at a start range of 15k, That's it. Any ship, gun tech etc... Fastest to sink them wins.

I had the game running when I wanted to look something up on your channel. Then I found your (what I would call) Tubular Magic. I start at 1940 and have been working my way up the years for the enemy. My GPU lets me put a good deal of enemy ships against me so I do. Usually 60 to 70 enemy ships against my one battleship. My basic build carries 2x3 18" / 4x2 11" / 2x2 10" / 18x3 8" / 8x3 5" / 4x3 4". Obviously the early years was murderous for the enemy but I need to strategize as the years pass. Great fun. I need to try a Tubular Magic build similar to yours sometime. Thumbs up!

TaskMaster Challenge: Ship if the Line (Man O’ War) Tech is 1890, and your job is to basically stuff as many casemates, secondaries, and sideline main batteries on your ship as you can while only having belt, extended belt, and tower armor. Each casemate gun is worth 10 points, Secondaries (single barrel ONLY) worth 15 points, and main battery is worth 25. Lose any and lose its value from the total values. Range set at shortest and speed at slowest.

This challange gave me an idea use every primary slot possible (7 centerline and 6 side) , i personaly manage to put a total of 13 12" making a 30 barrel broadside . Without the lessage saying poor sector of fire .

I love this game , i did some builds ( well tried to ) of dutch armoured cruisers and coastal battle ships , But sadly the 9.4 inch gun is not in the game. still using the 9 inch or inch guns they are a bit of a suprise how well they stand up in the early 1900s against larger battle ships.

this game reminds me of a ps2 game called warship gunners 2 where we could create our own vessel and stuff and it was hilarious especially when there were superweapons in the game to do and get which made it more fun and ridiculous.

Challenge idea: the Odd chap. Everything on your ship that you can put on there has to be odd. 1 or 3 turret, all barrels added together odd you get the idea

I'll give you challenge scenario. Its 1943 You are in command of the only sea going modern Soviet Battleship the Sovetsky Soyuz(or Kremlin) during it's shake down period in the Northern Denmark Strait. One day, you detect a force of six vessels closing in on your location during your fire training. You get confirmation that it's a heavy armed force of german vessels. In the midst of this realization, Captain Stealth decides that running away would not get him a big promotion from Stalin and then he changes up the training exercises from a static target practice to a moving one thanking the Germans for the trial by fire. You can build only 1 Sovetsky Soyuz or Kremlin alone Vs. 2 German BBs, 2 BCs, and 2 Heavy cruisers. Sink two or three out of the six enemy forces and escape to win. Or get that promotion from Stalin and sink all vessels.

You should build a ship with armor as thick as possible and just one gargantuan gun turret. Then you just float over to the enemy, bouncing shots all the way, and obliterate them at point blank range

well that is the ultimate battle ship that doesnt need escorts. it can fight of small ships and capital ships. some destroyers with sonar would help in spotting torps earlier but the firepower of the destroyers really isnt needed

When the Italian fleet saw three American ships slowly lumbering through an active war zone without an escort, they were expecting an easy victory. However, what was supposed to be a cake walk turned into a desperate battle for survival, as the three ships returned fire with more firepower than an entire fleet the moment they were in range. Under the command of the Esteemed Admiral, Stealth, the entire fleet was torn to pieces under unrelenting fire! NOW THAT, my dear friends, is a History Channel special I'd love to see reenacted!

Taskmaster challenge Name - Gun experiment Range: 7000m 1940 tech Design a super battleship that carries all the guns calibers in the game ( both secondaries and main guns) Do what modifications desired to fit them and any left weight must be emphasized on protection and speed. You will take on one ship of each type (except for transport unless you really want to). Only underwater torpedoes are allowed if weight is left. You must finish the battle in one and a half hour and sink everything. You lose if time expires or your ship is sunk. Good luck. P.S side note:- use the Japanese hull to get the smallest towers and up the displacement to maximum and range to low. Single barrels are not allowed and dual barrels of less than 16 inch are not allowed

A taskmaster idea I thought up goes like this similar to the turtle one but in revers you get 4 Light cruisers of the earliest start date and they face 20 DDs the catch's is they have to have max speed you get 1 point for every DD you sink and lose 4 for every CL you lose

Reason why your limited by how many of those barbets.... They descend deep into the bowels of the ship where your magazines are safely located and feed your turrets by elevator lift systems.... That being said, one other very large and vital ships system is also located below and take considerable space... Your engines.... So always plan for them before you go cary with these builds.... Unless ocean going battle barges are next and all you need are 2-5 armored combat tugboats to tow it around
