This game really needs a system where you can place all your ships down how you want them at the start of the battle, like in any total war game

These battles from the 1890s-1920 are more exciting from the level of blundering into things that goes on. That first engagement where you crossed the T of the enemy fleet was beautiful if totally accidental.

There's something that bugged me off is how you didn't launch a torpedo salvo from the Condor. I think it could have done something useful, considering the ship was toasted anyway.

If you pick Firepower&Speed as your focus instead of Firepower&Protection, might as well design the battlecruisers... maybe in a manner that makes them rather large heavy cruisers. Torpedo's were needed to even these numbers and/or cripple the most dangerous ships of one part of the British Fleet, and a fast "Light Battlecruiser" or "Superheavy Cruiser"(one and the same ship type, just different terminology) seems like a decent choice, especially considering the Age is 1913, where without the Tech upgrades for firepower most destroyers/torpedoboats have only small numbers of torpedo tubes. Serious question, how does this sound: 4x3 21" Torpedo Launchers loaded with fast or electric torpedos, depending on their range, 2 launchers on either side. Since this is an age in which long range accuracy is still very questionable, which means getting close for the main guns to get anywhere near accurate, and only Coincidence RF's available, Light Shells with increased Ammunition(because Light Shells actually penetrate *better* at close ranges, and these guns will fire fast) and White Powder fired by 6 to 8x semi-autoloading 11" or 12" guns with some 4" secondary guns or 6" casemates supported by 4" "turrets"... moved by Geared Steam Turbines at 27 knots, with armor protection focused on belt and turrets. That should be doable within the money limit thanks to the money saved on the comparatively small but fast firing main guns. Usage would basically amount to combining them with a few of the fast CL's and DD's, forming a fast "Hammer" and Harasser group, with which to smash the enemy ships on the slow mainline anvil or torpedo spike trap... ideally before the 2nd enemy group attacks. As a bonus, this fast group scouts for itself and the BB's, whereas DD's or CL's alone trying to scout might just get hammered into oblivion by sheer numbers... not so much if they have 11" AP/HE covering them. I just noticed, I am basically suggesting to build the equivalent to the Scharnhorst/Gneisenau twins of WW2.

Wish my Destroyers would be as relentlessly bullshit as Truant. Still cant get the "Modern vs Old Destroyers" Scenario done because the enemy always makes a wall of torpedoes and a single torpedo renders my Destroyers functionally dead within 15 seconds if it even survives the flooding that long despite all the upgrades.
