Another helpful video. Thank you for that. I scoured for videos trying to find tips and tricks for newbies but most dont let on that you need to be level 38-50 to do many of the things they do like big credits etc. I just started playing Dec 14th and have about 2 days and 20 hours into the game so far and this is my first gran turismo title. Ive done racing games through the years/decades, the original forzas and variosu iterations, Iracing and others ive forgotten. At the time of writing this, I'm collector level 12 and on book 18. I wanted to share some things ive run into and learned so far. Hopefully this info will help others like myself. Remember slow is fast and smooth is fast. Try feathering the throttle (especially on powerful cars) and the brakes. Remember to brake early and roll into a corner. Also you'll find that tapping/jabbing the brake and or throttle can make the car turn without losing too much speed when needing small adjustments in the middle of a corner or to get the front to kick around. Think of it like this, if you have the brakes locked up holding solid, it puts the suspension wheels etc into a bind. by tapping them it allows for the car to roll and rotate through the corner. Its much the same way abs works, it just does it faster. Work through your licenses at least with bronze trophies. You can always come back and try for gold after you've gained experience and track time. Completing the books through the cafe will help you level, unlock alot of important features, and open up the game. be sure to hit the start button on them after reading them. You will often get a free car to complete the upcoming books in Don't do like I did and buy the camaro 2 books before I got it for free at book 15. I sadly didnt get to race for it or credit for the one I already had. The only time you should buy a car that you can get for free is if you don't have a car to complete the requirements for the book and its the best car for it, for instance the camaros which is why I got the zl1. As stated in the video, doing the championship events repeatedly is a quick way to grind credits. The higher the level the more the payout has been. So unlocking more of them via progressing through the cafe books helps until you are able to get to the levels you need to farm credits in the millions.
