Dr. Lustig, brilliant man, one of a kind. Aren’t we lucky to be alive when he is so we can hear his talks. He will leave the world better than he found it. What an inspiring doctor, teacher, scientist, and human being. No nonsense too.

Great content of value! Is it worth then to to have a continuous insulin monitor? Since protein especially leucine doesnt spike Glucose but does to Insulin.

Love ya work Dr Lustig, reading Metabolical at the moment, im 2'n'a half years in to battling 'prediabetes' im not over weight(73kgs @ 179cm), iv been very ketogenic + fasting (ZERO processed food), i quit booze, i average 12k steps a day, plus playing drums in a punkrock band, i prioritise sleep... and yet, my hba1c continues north. my fasting bloods are still sitting at like 7mmol/l which seems insane after this long. any ideas anyone? iv been reading/watching every day for the entire journy and iv done everything i can think of. berberine, magnesium, omega3's, B's, D ETC. currently doing the FMD diet... willing to try it all! hit me with ya ideas.

What can we use as a sweetener that won’t raise insulin ?
@Carnivore1959
@Carnivore1959 20 күн бұрын
Why not just get that sweet out of your life for good ? I found after 6 months without anything sweet I no longer even crave carbs of any kind. The artificial sweeteners keep you brain and body controlled by cravings . Three yrs later zero cravings for any sweets....when when they have donuts at meetings I think they smell disgusting

👆👆👆👆. That's it! Excess carbs. Sugar in all forms including fructose. Processed foods full of sugar ( Honey, white sugar, Maltodextrose, fructose, dextrose.... Etc) The only essential nutrients .....protein and fat.

Carnivores don't get any fiber. How do they stay alive?
@Carnivore1959
@Carnivore1959 20 күн бұрын
Your body needs zero fiber if you're not eating carbs. I had huge constipation problems as a vegan or even on keto. Now after 3 yrs ...never an issue , regular easy. The ONLY nutrients essential for life are proteins and fats. Nothing else . All vitamins are present in fatty meats. Haven't had even a cold in 3 yrs.
