Make sure to start with assisted scrapes and than progress to unassisted scrapes.

All of your videos are truly incredible, because they enable to initiate the movement from where it should and help to develop the related neurological pathway. This is something no book and truly a very small amount of people are able to accomplish. Thank you very much for that. Even though your explanations and demonstrations are supreme, I do struggle with the recovery leg phase. It is very hard not to control this part of the running movement- I kind of cant let it go so that my calf "touches" my hamstring, because of momentum. Can you give me some advice on how to "let go" and allow it to happen, instead of consciously moving it toward the hamstring? With all my respect, Janette (Vienna)

Janette, Thank you for the kind words and I am happy you find the videos helpful! A cue that sometimes relates better with my athletes is to try and drive the heel through the knee (obviously this is impossible). Often athletes don't have the mobility in their legs to get 'heel to butt' or 'calf to hamstring' and that is fine. It can come with mobility work (static and dynamic) over time. The best I find is a simple 30 sec. deep squat sit every day. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
