Pretty, but not for me. I spent most of two years sleeping outside in desert country and there were so many different kinds of rattlesnakes that I couldn't remember half of them. More than a dozen types, I think. And another six or eight other types of venomous snake, to boot. When I think of a rattlesnake, I think of something five or six feet long, as big around as my forearm, with dead, black eyes and fangs. I never had one crawl into my blankets, but I woke up with one in camp several times. Nope, no rattlesnake pen holder for me. I'd flinch every time I reached for my pen.

Luckily the only snake species we have here are harmless garter snakes.
