I have the original casette tape and LP and I'm fine with those 😃😎 Anyway it was cool to watch this unboxing video. One of the legendary albums of early 80s Heavy/Glam Metal 🎸🎸

Amazon Australia are selling this on pre-order for the princely sum of $53.18AU with free shipping for Prime members. At that price I couldn't resist putting in an order just to see if they actually deliver the goods.

Yeah I got one and a couple of mates too. Somebody at Amazon AU made a massive mistake... But hey we were guaranteed that price of $63.50 or lower and now it dropped by another $10 lol.

The biggest question is are the 2 second gaps between the segueing tracks still present as they have been since the Crucial Crue version messed them up?????????????

It a lot of cash for one album. But I can’t resist!

I always thought Shout At the Devil was Bass Heavy compared to other 1980s albums. Gotham City, and Axe Witch had so much treble, that I had to equalize the bass to 10 to make them listenable

I always thought that it was hilarious that Nikki Sixx claimed that Aerosmith were their main influence. Considering that they as much like Aerosmith as Iron Maiden sounds like Lynnerd Skynnerd

It's missing a great booklet with rare, unseen photos and interesting tidbits. They should have included cool posters from the devastated city photoshoot and eschewed the boring pentagram prints. They used the same photos too many times as well. Maybe replace the Shout cassette with a rare rehearsal recording that no one has ever heard. Just minor complaints that would have been a vast improvement.

Those arent minor complaints. Nothing about this box set makes it look like the designer knew anything about the era.

I heard that Anton Szander LeVey had Vince Neil Photos all over the walls of his office. Motley Crue were supposedly active members of his church

@@andrewandy137 Steve ( AKA Blackie Lawless) Duran was a member of an Occult secret society. Eagles - Hotel 🏩 California was about the San Francisco Church ⛪ of Satan. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven was about the Druids chosen May queen for sacrifice to the Sun God Belenus to celebrate the Vernal Equinox on May 1 ( Beltane), and the first festival associated with the ritual. Fleetwood Mac were Satanists in the 1970s, the Rolling Stones, and Blue Oyster Cult. All these bands when answering questions about their stranger songs always cover up by claiming that they are inspired by ridiculous things. For example Blue Oyster Cult claims that 7 Screaming Diz Busters is about something sexual, that is nonsense. The song was about demons.

1983 was the year of the Devil. At War With Satan arrived that year, Witchfynde - Cloak and Dagger, and Witchfinder General - Friends of Hell. Manowar were laying down the tracks for their only Satanic album, Mercyful Fate hit the worldwide mainstream market with Melissa

The box set kinda sucks it’s all reissued material that’s been released on every version of shout since the 90s. The only new song is black widow, which was released on a compilation album already in the 2000s

Btw, there was no transition to "Hair Metal" - thats just a derisive umbrella term for 80s Hard Rock and Glam bands. It was Glam Metal at the beginning, and around 86/87, Glam Metal has divided into two camps : Sleaze Metal (GnR, LA Guns) and Pop-Metal (Warrant, Slaughter)

@@pinkyellowblue007 yeah🎸🎸...and LA Guns didn't sound like Living Color, Mr. Big didn't sound like Skid Row, Alice in Chains didn't sound like Thunder...I'm not buying that 'everything sounded the same in the late 80s/early 90s' narrative.

Motley Crue - Shout At the Devil, Quiet Riot - Metal Health, Twisted Sister's first 3 lps ,and WASP - WASP were the only really Heavy Metal albums released that related to the "Hair Metal " movement. They should really be considered as a different subgenre

@@HecatecrosswaysThey are Glam Metal (Heavy Glam) albums. There are quite a few other albums released by the likes of Wrathchild, London, Witch that have a similar Heavy Glam sound.

It’s amazing how we keep buying the same thing over and over. Are we zombies on a wheel? Pavlov’s dog hitting the button, helping the rich get richer. I got rid of my original album because it was satanic with the artwork, now this one pushes it farther with a Ouija board? Let’s stand up as men of integrity and say no to dark materials. There’s something wrong with worshiping materialism and hoarding all the toys of darkness. God created music but few use it to celebrate the Creator. Having Ouija boards in your possession is evil even if you don’t use it or believe in it. It’s still a gateway for the demonic.

I agree with you. I don't want Ouija boards, tarot cards or anything else in my house. I don't believe that simply owning a record ( even with a pentagram on it) will bring in any unwanted guests but the other stuff in this collection... It's a no from me.
