Because of it's innovation and ushering in of a heap of soon-to-be-tropes of the third person action adventure genre, Uncharted 2 is considered to be an all-time great video game. While to many it still stands tall as the best in the series, it's main competitor is typically Uncharted 4, with these two games being the widely accepted pinnacles of this franchise. Because Drake's Fortune has the defense of being the first and therefore most outdated title, Uncharted 3 is saddled with the title of "most disappointing" game in the series. And as a very vocal fan of Uncharted, my response to this is usually- shut up you're stupid I'll kill you I swear to God.
Uncharted 3 is my personal favorite Uncharted game (though I do think 4 is objectively better) because of the impact it had on my life, but I wanted to do my best to defend Uncharted 3 removed from my personal experience. To me this game is slightly superior to Uncharted 2, maybe not as an innovator, but as an overall game, and while I have no quarrel with people who believe the opposite, I wanted to do a bit of justice to a game I think everyone forgets all too easily.
