Land issues in Nigeria is a big mess and very stressful to purchase.

Uncle told nephew he had land to sell ,so we shd understand this. He was a broker and claimed ownership which was wrong. He has duped his nephew because he trusted him. I can never send money to anyone to do something for me. Is just a suicide mission.

The uncle wasn't straight forward from the start. He claimed he has lands which he didn't but looking for buyers for the agent so that he can share agency money with the real agent. He went as far as asking him to get his friends as well to come and buy land from him. I actually do know some people do buy large acres of land to resel them in plots but this wasn't the case with the uncle, he is just a hustler. Lesson for Nigerians here is to desist from claiming what you are not

I live in abroad . The uncle did well at least he actually bought the lands . Even if he collected some money along the way . Is not bad at all . But he actually bought those lands. The wife of the owner of the lands is putting fuel on the matter . My own brother sold my lands in edo and eat the money . I still forgive him . Left the money . We settle .

I pray your Lordship to use her usual wisdom in dealing with this matter. Your Lordship, because of the economic situation in the country today everybody do several works. Like me, I do agents work too even if it's not my profession. In this case, I perceive the Uncle to be on the side of truth 70% against 30% of the other side, which may not be deliberate. I think he wanted to please the young man and from there he gets empowered. The young man should not stress this uncle of his, who to my mind had really tried for him.

The uncle is truthful. There's no where you buy a land without paying agent and agreement fees. He couldn't have been asking him to sign an agreement each step of the way. He decided to use his discretion to handle issues and informed his nephew as he progressed. Saying everything his uncle said is a lie shows the nephew is lying,and just looking for every means to claim back he's money, which may or may not be possible.

I think the Judge should allow the uncle tell the whole story. She keeps cutting him off and misunderstanding him. He didn’t say he was an agent charging his nephew a fee. Also note that this uncle is running around for this young man and is not getting paid anything for his time and effort. Ps the N250k was not for the uncle. I think people should be careful when it comes to money.I gave my elder sister 500k to buy land for me many years ago, when i was ready to use the land, she said she didn't know where the land is, until now.My niece collected 2.5m from me and same from other members of the family,no such thing was bought.I gave same elder sister money to build another house for me, she bought inferior materials, quarreled with the builder and abandoned the property.Lesson: never to give any family members money for business.But, let bygone be bygone.This young man should have been patient with his uncle.money is a spirit,it flies in and out.
