I wish people would challenge themselves to describe a film made by black people without the phrase “It’s like Get Out but...”

No one would use that phrase for Black Panther, Moonlight, Beale Street or the Hate u Give... could it be that maybe this particular movie is actually somewhat similar to Get Out?

It’s got some similar themes to Get Out, but yeah it’s kind of frustrating that a unique movie like this has to be looked at through the lense of Get Out just cause it’s psychological and has a black lead

EASILY Omari Hardwick is one of the most beautiful men to have ever been conceived and born in our lifetimes. EASILY. Yet, Steven is also very handsome as is Armie. And Jermaine’s youthful zest pulls on my heart strings. This is a great cast...honorable mention to LaKeith whom also I ADORE and the very beautiful Tessa (there are no words). I love this cast and I now love BOOTS!!!! ❤️♥️❤️ Great interviewer as well.

Great interview, I can tell she really enjoyed the film and did her research. It wasn’t for me though but I understood the concept, I just didn’t like some of the direction choices in the film.

I didnt know that 'cat' is a slang for 'dude' in US. In Brazil when you call someone a cat in portuguese, it means that person is beautiful/handsome/cute or hot, so i was thinking "perhaps in english the meaning was kind of similar to portuguese or something", i got confused. Haha. So thank you for telling me the meaning of 'cat'. :)

great interview, great content, extraordinary movie. But: Coley shouldn't blast her chuckle-laugh into her mic OR it should be done post to match the DB of the rest of the talk. I turn the volume to level with Riley's talking, and then RGHAGRHRAAHA. RIP eardrums. Amateur hour on Rotten Tomatoes.
