Underneath your table saw extension table could be wasted space... so why not build a storage cabinet to fit? But just a storage cabinet might not be enough... how about a multi-use cabinet that can also be used as an infeed and outfeed table? Follow along as Steve makes a multi-purpose cabinet to compliment the SawStop Outfeed Table.
In Part 2, the leg parts preparation continues with cutting and test fitting of some of the critical parts. The internal structure of the legs will allow the top of the table to move up and down and adjust for different heights so the table can be used as a roller stand for other machines around the shop.

Hey Steve, great job as always! I especially like the new sneaky, sleuth-y music you have on your glue up!

One more thought on this project Steve... (sorry for the criticism!) If I were to build the legs with the same finish functionality, I think I would have made a small leg that had the inner-dimension to fit the .75" square rod. Then built another box around it to "beefy" it up. I am an engineer by trade, so the trade off of working the dimensions to fit the project seem to be a bit more work than making the project fit the dimensions. As always, I really enjoy watching your projects and always learn something. Hope I didn't offend! PS - You could always get an Incra fence ;^)

Ha! I would love to get the Incra fence for my table saw... All I need is a whole bunch of extra money. :( I've got the Incra fence on my router table and it really is fantastic. As far as your suggestions, I simply cannot argue with an engineer, but I think as the video series progresses you will understand why I did it this way. By the way, I never get offended... and I welcome all suggestions... Thank you very much for watching!!!

A playing card is sometimes helpful to create gaps or dial in that fence. I've used it in my shop after hearing about it from @NickFerry.

Hey Steve, how would it work if you cut a 1/4” slot down the length of those miters and used a hardwood spline and glued them up?

Steven thank you for your highly anticipated second video. At the end when you were explaining that you were preparing to create a slot in each of your legs to allow the raising/lowering of the metal bar it struck me that a simpler method might be to fix a handle/knob in one location which would then allow you tighten the bar in place likely along preset distances/heights? Using the proposed slot system would result in your moving the whole assembly up or down but it might also weaken the leg a bit. Can you explain your rationale? Efficiency/effectiveness of the mechanism or something else? Keep up the good work.
