Under Table Saw Storage Cabinet Part 6

6 жыл бұрынUnderneath your table saw extension table could be wasted space... so why not build a storage cabinet to fit? But just a storage cabinet might not be enough... how about a multi-use cabinet that can also be used as an infeed and outfeed table? Follow along as Steve makes a multi-purpose cabinet to compliment the SawStop Outfeed Table.
In Part 6, a demonstration of how a drum sander can make quick work of prepping a face frame, the final cabinet glue-up, the aluminum square stock gets drilled and tapped for the lifting and holding mechanism for the top, and more.

When you were measuring diagonals to check for square, you mentioned you never had one so perfect before. I have often wondered how close do diagonals have to be when checking for square?

It depends on the size of the square you are checking. If you are checking, say, a deck, you might well be satisfied with a measurement within a quarter-inch or so. On a project like this video, I would have been happy with something that was within 1/32". If you are so close that the measurement is less than you can actually "read" on a tape measure, you are so close! If you happen to get one that is exact, well, it is exact.

He seems to post them a week ahead on the Highland Woodworking channel. I wish his videos came out faster, he takes a long time getting them out.

Ah, good point. I must have seen it there first. I'll head over there to watch part 7. Steven's pacing is slow and methodical and that's exactly why I really like his project videos. He double and triple checks everything. Nothing is glossed over. As a beginner I appreciate his approach.

Helpful video, but could be edited to be shorter, there is a lot of repetition of simple tasks
