The U.S and Mexican government assisted the Sinaloa and Gulf Cartel heavily. Zetas Cartel at one point were running the entire country the government was forced to form an alliance with the sinaloa cartel and the rest of the cartels to fight them, and still couldnt beat the Zetas. The civil war within the Zetas was what destroyed them, they went to war with eachother and split into two cartels, Cartel del Noreste - Z and Zetas Viejas Escuela. Not to mention the ATF supplying Cartels with weapons.

As for Jalisco, the CJNG is a cartel made up of snitches, Junkies and other cartel drop outs thats why in mexico they are known as the "Torcidos". CJNG was and will never be as big as the original Zetas. CJNG is getting spanked left and right at the moment. Cartel Del Noreste - Zetas are spanking them in the Northeast, La Nueva Familia Michoacana is spanking them in Michoacan and Jalisco, other Zetas factions are killing CJNG in Veracruz, even El marro wiping them out, Sinaloa Cartel is also spanking them. Thank you for your service, Patrick! I didn’t realize you were a USA Air Force vet until now. 🇺🇸 and yes, thank you undercover FBI agent for the interview. I’m not a big supporter of “under-covers” but you gotta respect Mr. McGowan for agreeing to interview on KZfaq.

The problem with the time the FBI went to Apple is like with any other organization asking to be trusted with information. The organization must be trustworthy. In this day and time, unfortunately, I can’t think of any organization that has that kind of integrity.

True! There was a bill I was reading on that they were recently trying to pass on 2022 of the government trying to get access to all cell carriers and access to all customer phones, clouds and access to all pictures and videos so they can go through every picture and video to make sure there were no underage sex trafficking pictures or videos. I get the reasoning behind it but they said the personnel going through it would not try to save any legal sexual pictures of anyone. Which if passed, would go south quickly. Leaks everywhere.

I'm fascinated how Bet-David gets all these great interviews, but I as someone who speaks several languages, I'm still trying to decipher his overlapping accents...I hear a lot of influences. I totally agree with the former Agents assessment of who the FBI has in charge, vs the street Agents. It's the same in the Military.. you have us, the "talent ", the trigger-pullers, and you have layers and layers of support personnel (POG's) and the Command level where unfortunately many are promoted FAR beyond their capabilities. In my book, I'll Chronicle that story from the Cold War, all through the Gulf War, War on Terror, and into doing "Company " stuff and Contracting. Itll be both funny, sad, and eye opening. Keep up the good work here!

Great interview as usual Patrick. You are without a doubt one of the best interviewers possibly on the planet. I think this gentleman was pretty honest for the most part but his opinion on the line between privacy and getting the bad guys was skewed especially when he used 9/11 as an example...does he know the patriot act that took away sooo much of our privacy was drawn up well before 9/11? The lines need to be drawn in permanent ink to protect our privacy or it encourages those undesirables in our society to create or use a shocking incident to push through privacy wrecking laws that are near impossible to wind back and eventually privacy will be a thing of the past.
