A Storytending Session with archetypal coach and depth counsellor Brian James
How can we understand narcissism on a deeper level? Using an approach I call Story Tending to see what insights ancient myth offers so we might view the narcissist with greater compassion and help them (and ourselves) avoid the tragic fate of Narcissus.

I enjoyed this thank you giving me more insight in my ex-husband who was a covert narcissist. I have been so puzzled as to what happened in our 19 year marriage and all this information about narcissism is so helpful to me. Thanks again. And I loved the delivery of your information too.

As much as I appreciate this perspective, when you’re co-parenting with a covert narcissist it’s simply a constant struggle to not just communicate but to try and get the kids needs met without constant drama.

Somehow, the comment below landed on sage of quay's latest video. While intended for your video, it was still fitting, as the topic was totally about Narcissists!

Thank you for sharing this. Such a potent reminder to move from contempt, anger, blame and any other negative emotion, to COMPASSION.

great story telling, ☺ i just want to add that the correlation between alcoholism and narcissism is not consistent ! I would rather claim that narcissism is strongly corelated with any type of addiction , be it vanity, workaholism, athleticism , perfectionism, religious fundamentalism, OCD,.... you name it, the list of addiction is really long....
