@@Maztuhmindyes, because they have actually helped me through some troubles in life and vice versa. But we just have different preferences when it comes to fighting games. One likes tekken One likes SF Two like anime fighters I like MK.

@@Maztuhmind Yeah besides only cool people play MK. I always seen MK being the type of video game that actually appealed to alphas or sigmas that get bishes. I even had pretty females admit MK is like the only fighting game or one of the only games they like because they always see their bf or some other chad type play it. MK is actually one of the only video games that wouldn't label you a nerd. If you play MK, GTA, RE or MGS, you would actually get a pass from the females and they would still do you. If they see you play anything other than MK or SF as far as fighting games go, they get super dry.

While here in tekken we have Harada speakig with the community regularly and even dealing with the ones that complains too much or demanded things

They did say they are listening to the community and are going to try and make it the best game they can for us. They fixed the player one advantage bug, they made the movement better since beta, and some strings faster. Im confident that it will get better with age like wine. I love the game but I do agree that something needs done sooner then later

THIS...i always felt like they should have just really focused on the issues 9 had and kept improving it for future games but every game being entirely different, as well as the stupid emotional roller coaster regarding whether or not your favorite fighters are going to be in the roster every time a new game is being released is starting to get exhausting

This. I liked that MK1-3 and the 3D era all had consistent gameplay even if it was tweaked. When MK9 came out I thought they were going to stick with THAT tone and gameplay. MKX was fun, don't get me wrong, but you really started to feel them lean too hard into the Hollywood crap and cameo characters in that game. If I had to compare it to anything, MK9 was the Resident Evil 4 of the franchise, MKX was RE5 meaning still fun but cracks with the philosophy were beginning to show and MK11 was the RE6 where it just completely sh** the bed. As for MK1... I don't feel it's fair to compare it to RE7, I would personally compare it to RE Village in that it makes good efforts but still makes a TON of missteps to the point where it hampers the whole project. I don't hate it as much as MK11, but I don't like it either. It just doesn't feel like Mortal Kombat despite all of the references to prior games because that's all they are, references. They didn't go back to the 3D style or returned to the timeless stylized graphics of MK9 that focused more on presentation than realism. They didn't truly return to the combat of MK9 either and the Kameo system feels a little shoehorned in while teasing us with characters I'd much rather have been in the main roster. And that is perhaps the most aggravating thing, because you can SEE with Scorpion, Kung Lao, Stryker and Darius that their designs are on point and they could totally make a more traditional MK game... but that's the problem, they don't WANT to. It's not a lack of capability, it's focusing on the wrong goals. Which is why characters like Darius upset me because we ALREADY know what the first year of DLC is going to be. I'd much rather have had a MVC style assist system where every character is a selectable assist and they just made the unique characters into their own fighters but instead we got this lukewarm crap.

Used to be awesome. Crazy how I am a bigger SF fan these days than an MK fan when growing up it was the exact opposite. SF6 unironically does a better job at paying homage to MK's 3D era than MK1 does.

⁠​⁠@@Impalingthorn I grew up with SF2 and the alpha series & could never get the hang of MK’s combo system and weird button layouts and didn’t like every fighter having the same punch and kicks with specials being the only difference. Now I can’t stand SF, it just gives me seizures with all those huge hit sparks and weird ink blotch effects. I can barely see what is going on underneath it all with the actual fighters. The physics feel weird to me to with how characters will land a punch or a kick and there is a slight “freeze” between every hit. I’ve really been getting into MK lately and it’s movesets are friendlier than in the past and the gameplay more fluid to me. Boone has really stepped it up the past few years while 6 still feels like a derivative of SF4’s gameplay.

@@jntlemanthis, as a cage main I played mirrors online and got 212 to death even though I was crouching to block the low option then rising to block the high in time. Game is fun af but they have alot of tweaking to do

And if you try to release the stick to stand up to go into jump, you'll get delayed into upblock which makes it extremely annoying when you are playing Nitara who really relies on her jumping and air dashes.

Try being a VF fan. Even though it's a series acclaimed for its depth and complexity, it was a franchise that remained dormant until 2021, and all we got was a remake of VF5.

@@yussufkhalil5618 it was just me not being able to convert off F 2, 4, sandstorm special then F 2, 4 again for some reason this was way more difficult to do in player 2 side dispite it being muscle memory and the same in player 1. Made adjustments tho n hit now so idk. But it was the only time I thought it was the game n not me ya know? Like it’s not like I was struggling to do it in p1. It was weird. It hits not so I don’t know

As someone who plays a shit ton of fighting games competitively this mk is honestly the first one since mkX worth learning with a tone of great mechanics that make it unique and competitive. Player 1 advantage has been fixed recently i heard and even when it was a thing people blew it out of the water. I deadass never noticed it even after i found out and the combos that were affected we complex and gimmicky. Despite what complaints people have its not like other fighting games are better off. It sucks but games as a whole have been releasing overpriced and buggy with more to buy day one.

don't listen to the whiners. yes, game's got some bugs. it will be ironed out. otherwise the game's really good, one of the best fighting games I've played in my life.

@@jeanlucstitt9950 I';m glad they fixed it. I'm actually having a ton of fun with MK1 right now. I bought MK11 on sale for $5 a while back and absolutely hated how it played and stopped after a few hours. But this one I could stick with for a very long time
