It's funny to watch how Skip always brings up LeBron's failures while completely ignores the others. Did LeBron have failures in his career? Of course he did! And so did MJ, Magic, Bird and Kareem. If you want to talk about failures, then how about MJ not beating one single great team in playoffs? He was a first rounder until Scottie Pippen came to Bulls, got swept by Celtics two years in a row! He could barely get wins against The Bad Boys era of Pistons. Then he got Pippen, after that Rodman and as the teams of 80's era faded away, Bulls became dominant with their easily the best roster in the league. I'm not trying to belittle MJ's career; but he had failures as well. Larry Bird, an incredible player he was, with only 13 seasons in his career and half of them were cursed with injuries. LeBron is 31 and has already played 100 more matched than Bird. How can anyone, on their right mind name Bird over LeBron? And Tim Duncan. I like Duncan, he easily is the best PF in the NBA history; but come on, don't overrate him THAT much! He's nowhere near a top 5 player; and definently not over LeBron. I think it's even arguable Duncan was better than Garnett. I mean Garnett was a better scorer, a better passer, a surprisingly good free throw shooter and he was just as good as Duncan on the defensive side.

bill russel average 15 points in his career when he was the biggest guy on the court by far and did not dominate he was a great defender but hes not a top 10 player because of his rings robert horry had 7 but is not a top 100 player of all time. lebron is right now the second best player of all time he has the stats and been to the finals 7 times he will probably win another 1 or 2 finals and be in the finals 3 or 4 more times. I love how skip talks about that game 6 miami v spurs and says things like "and then he was great in overtime and game 7..." as throwaway comments. After Ray Allen's shot, the most important thing in that series was the overtime period, which LeBron stepped up in. After that, the most important thing (always the most crucial game of any series) was game 7, and LeBron led them to victory not to mention with a clutch jump shot down the stretch (no clutch gene.... right). If Ray Allen SAVED him with that shot, how did lebron not redeem himself with what he did in OT and then in game 7? and by the way, Allen saved the HEAT with that shot. Not LeBron. The only thing he saved lebron from was clowns like skip bayless attacking and blaming him for everything if they would have lost.

Lebron and Bird are both good team players. Play them one on one, and there's no way Bird can guard Lebron. Simply put, Lebron is a better player than Bird. For all the passing skills Bird had, he can't be made to play point, while Lebron can. Bird was not as mobile as Lebron. Bird isn't even nearly as good as Lebron as being an on-ball defender. He didn't have the quickest feet.
