This Episode will go from wild to wilder!
We started off checking our caliper as the rear drivers side seemed to be dragging.
Once fixed we took off towards Bremer Bay. The inlet at devils creek is amazing, white squeaky sand and a river running out to sea. It was awesome other than the fact that we couldn't cross it and had to go around.
We stopped by the info center and met a friendly local that told us about the different tracks we might be able to make it down.
The first stop was Reef Beach, and this one was SO WORTH IT. The track in was a bit bumpy but nothing crazy. The last bit is a bit of a steeper sandy hill, and you are down at the beach right next to giant sand dunes!!!!
We had to stay the night and enjoyed the sunset here.
The next morning we were a bit nervous about making it back up the sandy hill but the mog walked back up no problems at all. We went back out the track, put a bit of air in the tyres and drove out to the Doubtful Island Road. It was an easy drive there with most of the dirt roads being in decent condition. The problem with the road out to Doubtful Island Point is, that the shire ends and it seems no-one feels responsible to take care of it. The corrugations are shocking, even with tyres let down and going fast we couldn't handle it and had to slow down. Once you get to the turnoff to Gordon Inlet, the road straight leads you to Doubtful Island Point and besides the many big holes drug by people having a bit too much fun when its wet, its a decent drive.
The track itself starts a bit further down and is a fun track to drive pretty wide in most places and high enough for our Mog to fit through. The turnoff to Peppermint Beach is where the fun really started!!!!
The track is super overgrown and once you commit to going down it, there isn't really a place for the Mog to turn around anymore. We got stuck in the situation, where we had to cut branches off trees or knock them down with the Mog, just to make it to the beach, so we could turn around. We don't condone cutting down trees, even though this isn't part of the national park, but we are a big proponent of keeping the tracks accessible, especially for the case of fires. At the time we did this track there was a big bushfire at the eastern end of Fitzgerald River National Park and we were motivated to keep the track open for the trucks to be able to make it down there, in case they had to. Generally, we think everyone can play a part in keeping our 4wd tracks open and accessible so we encourage anyone to carry a chainsaw and do some track maintenance as well!

One of the best kept secrets to WA's south east coast. Far enough away to put many people off, so rewarding for those that chose BB for a get away.

Just binged watched all your vids. Loved the build series and your ingenuity. Big fan of the practical interior and tasteful mods for the mog. Keep it rolling guys. Cheers from India.

Suggestion guys. Get a pair of laser pointers with a switch in the cabin. Put them on top corner of the box, when you think it's a bit tight, switch them on and if the light hits branch, then you know your going to hit it.

11:38 deflate your tyres on corrugations, running lower tyre pressures smooth the bumps out, acts like a second suspension

We lowered them already a loooooot. We had pretty low pressures out at Bilbunya Dunes (our current videos) and did 2 tyre, one sidewall crack. You have to be careful when they are fully loaded. Ours is maxed out at 12t!

That is a pretty tough track, but good on you for pushing through, like you said, if it became completely overgrown, the fire trucks would not be able to go through either. Hopefully not there was no real damage. It does look like a great place to spend a few days.

Went to Doubtful Islands in 2018 in a GU patrol and it was overgrown then, fair effort pushing through that in the mog. We did get bogged in those mud holes though aswell, was a tad bit wet and bloody stunk

Yeah those mud holes were massive! We tried to avoid them when possible cause you never know if they are still soft underneath when a 12t truck drives through🙈
