yeah that is a pretty common thing in Voice acting. You can control your vocal range easier when "the voice" is closer to just your natural speaking voice.

Frontiers is barely anything like SA1 - SaBK. It's dull, nothing happens for almost the entire game, it's riddled with memberberries.

If I'm not mistaken, they said it was a one time occurrence, but I really don't mind which direction Sonic games takes since I like all the ones that were used until now The crazy wacky feel of Classic Sonic, the coolness of Adventure Era/Early 2000s, the "Shonen" a-like used for the late 2000s, the goofy and cozy used for the 2010s, and the new style from Frontiers (and I think it is a "new" style, not the same as SA1 and BK)

Honestly? Mike, Roger and Colleen are THE voices of these characters. The might not have been at it as long as Charles Martinet but very few people have. Shout out to Ryan though. She's precious, very fun and Sage was a great character!

I loved how honest Ryan was about the hardships of the industry. Most VAs will answer "keep trying, work hard, follow your dreams and you just might make it" but she was brutally honest about how hard it was, and that is honestly refreshing.

Man, the way Ryan talked about her dad was so friggin wholesome, I was grinning like the Cheshire Cat. And Roger made me laugh a bunch, I'd honestly want to see some of his stand-up. And Colleen and Mike are just such respectable, feel-good people, I just enjoy hearing what they have to say. What a cast dude.

It's really sad how ungrateful these "fans" are. I just wish I could meet Roger Craig Smith to tell him how good of a voice actor he is and that he truly has the absolute best voice I have ever heard. Not just in Sonic the hedgehog, but quite literally every other character he has ever voiced, even his "Say yes to the dress" narrator sounds really good and full of character somehow. This man has made my day and inspired me eversince I was a child and I can't even tell him or ever see him because of where I am, and then you have ungrateful rude manchildren like the first guy and some of these comments straight up insulting him for doing his job. Just sad, these so called "fans" did the same thing to all the other voice actors, I'm glad he at least strikes back. You go Roger, you're amazing! These people just don't deserve your incredible performance.

i get why people would find the frontiers performances off-putting but personally I found it so refreshing to see these characters actually come off as grounded and human. I was floored when Amy had this empathetic, ponderous tone to her dialog and didn't have any OH SONIC MY LOVE MARRY ME lines. She felt like an actual character for the first time. It made it feel like Sonic and Amy have matured a lot and are at the point in their relationship whether as friends or otherwise where they can just vibe and appreciate each other's company. I'm still pretty early into the game but I've been having an absolute blast with frontiers and I hope we get to see more Sonic content in the future that isn't afraid to adopt a more serious tone.

Since they didn't include it imma bring it up. When they asked about their favorite song the VAs ask the guy giving the question to sing his favorite song and it was "City Escape" When he started singing it everyone sang along with him including me lol. I love when fans get together 😊

omg, I wasn't expecting that first question to come out like that... I didn't like Roger's Sonic voice in this game. The rest was fine. Amy's was a little weird. But if I asked the cast directly I feel like I wouldn't have asked it in such an awkwardly insulting way. lol I would just ask why the voice direction was so different. lol

I think the voice directors and direction wanted to make the game very mature and serious emotional at the role for voice actors, maybe that's why they told roger to get deeper tone for sonic 😔

Yeah I was thinking the same too, seemed like Roger kinda joked it off so things wouldn't be awkward but he definitely seemed a bit offended at that statement. Great to see that Mike Pollock has still got it the as the voice as the evil Dr Eggman and even though Jason Griffiths is and always will be my favorite voice actor of Sonic I love Roger Craig Smith just as much and he has done a fantastic job voicing the character for the current generation of fans thanks for sharing this 👍❤️

I really liked the tone of Frontiers, Sonic games taking their over-the-top stories seriously again while still being fun. Reminds me of SA1 and SA2 again which is where I started with Sonic, so it feels like the characters are being themselves again. I want more of it, I hope they keep it going.

I love the way of sonic's character in frontiers is so much icon, very unique, obnoxious and incredible experience terms of his heroic actions, It's not perfect but it's quite different from the past decade along with SA2 and black knight
