This is episode 37 of the third-person shooter series based on Unreal Advanced Locomotion System. We have already worked on the animation part of the grenade throwing and showing the predicted projectile path. Now let's look into how to actually throw the grenade, explode, and how to affect surrounding actors. The characters will take damage and the explosive/destructible objects like barrels will be destructed.

I'm having a pretty major problem. I set everything up like you did mostly however a few things are different but nothing that I can imagine that would cause my issue. After I set up attaching the grenade to the players hand during that time, the actor seems to be falling and duplicating itself at the same time infinitely until I let go as to throw the grenade, when I do that the mesh does launch but then the string of duplicated grenades spins out and falls through the floor for some reason. Would you have any idea why that's happening. I'm lead to believe it has something to do with the collisions as when I alter the collision from "no Collision" to "Collision enabled" I do not have this issue however the grenade will not go anywhere.

I can spawn bomb in my hands but ı can't throw , thats probably collision bug, and i get invalid simulate options error. Idk why :( , first of all i can spawn bomb in my hand_r bone but not a pretty sight and after that I put the bomb in my hand, but never hold in my hand it whens spawn fall of my hands. After that i set the bomb_bp's Construction Script in the collision = no collision. I thought it was fixed because the bomb could actually appear in my hand, but when I tried to throw it, it fell in front of me. Can you please help me?

If I throw the grenade at the barrels they explode, but if I throw at the AI character it has no effect. Any ideas please? Nick

how characters react to explosion is implemented through OnExplosionHit interface event in BPI_Damageable interface. Debug and see if that is implemented correctly

@@CodeLikeMe Thanks for the quick reply. Yea, I hadn't implemented OnExplosionHit interface, so I've implemented it in ALS_AmnimMan_CharacterBP as just a DestroyActor. Guess I must have missed it at some stage Thanks Nick
