The two segments on the Son of Sam case are terrific, so chilling and scary. The cult theory is highly controversial, but UM perfectly show why it makes plenty of sense to investigate the possibility that several people were involved in the murders. UM at its best. 👍
@queenstixxzz5 жыл бұрын
It actually isn't that unlikely, have you heard any of Davids "recent" interviews? I think it is legit. "investigators" who report on satanic colts, always say no one is killed and animals aren't sacrificed.....yet, if you go and watch crime documentary's or study murder and the occult, it has and does happen.
@HellAintHalfFull4 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Turbide There are many respected NYC detectives who believed that there were more killers, but they got brushed to the side by the district attorney and Mayor Abe Beame didn't want to cause a panic. There is so much evidence proving that there was more than one shooter. The mugshots, eyewitness testimony, etc. Also one of the first things that Berkowitz said when captured was: "There are more sons out there. God help the world."
@Quagigitymire4 жыл бұрын
This show seemed incapable of passing on a satanic story or satanic conspiracy. I suppose it was often a big seller in the late 80's & early 90's media, but it becomes cliche hype bullshit when it's used in such fashion as being attributed to things it has absolutely no credible evidence directly tying it to crimes deemed of great interest to the public.

The abduction of Gretchen. I cried as I was watching this. This lady helped and supported people less fortunate than herself. She had so much compassion and put herself out for people who really needed someone like her. In a senseless selfish moment of poor evil this man stabbed her fatally. When I saw the size of the knife he had used I was nearly sick. He was caught 20 years later but that is 20 his victim never got. She had a loving family lots of friends who absolutely thought the world of her. The world is a little darker because she isn’t in it. This will prey on my mind for some time it affected me very much.

Shortly after the broadcast, several residents of Redwood City, California, identified a residence near their house as the one on fire in the videotape. Redwood City is eighty miles from Stockton, where the video was discovered. The fire occurred on August 15, 1988; the house in the videotape was under construction at the time and has since been rebuilt. Surprisingly, on the night of the fire, a fire chief also videotaped the fire for training purposes. The two videos were compared and were shown to be identical, and it was confirmed that the house on the arsonist tape was the Redwood City house. Several tips from the broadcast also led to a seventeen-year-old youth from Woodside, California. This individual led authorities to a nineteen-year-old youth from the Redwood City area; the nineteen-year-old identified himself as the one who filmed the fire and the voice on the video. Since both arsonists were juveniles when they set the fire, they were tried as minors. One of the teens served time in juvenile hall and the other was committed to a state mental hospital.

7 years after this aired, two guys bought the General Wayne Inn and one was murdered there about a year after they rebooted the Inn as a restaurant (story captured in Forensic Files S10.E36). I lived near the Inn in the 2000s, but it was closed by then so I never got to go inside. I don't believe it ever reopened.

My dad has a good friend in North Dakota who used to work for law enforcement. He told my Dad that the account of the officer from ND in this clip is completely accurate. John Carr apparently told a lot of people in ND that he knew David Berkowitz. My guess is that John Carr’s death was a suicide, but he killed himself because of pressure.

Unresolved. Newton Alfred Winn, a civil attorney in St. Petersburg, Florida, was apprehended in March 1989. He was the owner of a Florida-based School Pictures franchise and was one of the twelve names listed on the ransom note and among the ones that sent their money back to Robert. About four years before Annie's abduction, he had been sued by the company for over $153,000. A month before the kidnapping, Winn had purchased a van that matched the description of the one Annie's neighbors saw around her house the day she was kidnapped. The descriptions of the van's driver also matched his appearance. Two witnesses had also identified Winn as a man they had seen in a van in front of the Hearin home in the weeks prior to the abduction. Authorities also learned that Winn had asked his paralegal to help him fabricate an alibi for the day of the kidnapping. A woman contacted the FBI and told them that Winn had promised her $500 to travel from Florida to Atlanta, Georgia, and mail a letter for him; this occurred sixteen days after the kidnapping. He handed her a manilla envelope; inside was the second letter, wrapped in a gray linen napkin. Winn instructed her not to look at or touch the letter, but when she deposited the letter she had to ease the napkin off. That is when she observed the writing on the letter. Later, she identified the letter as the one that Robert had received from his wife. Though he maintained his innocence throughout, Winn was convicted of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, extortion, and perjury in 1990. He was sentenced to nineteen years and seven months and was released from prison in April 2006. He died in August 2012. No one has ever been formally charged with the actual kidnapping of Annie nor has she ever been found. In 1990, Robert died of a heart attack, and a year after, Annie was declared legally dead.

General Wayne Inn was also in a Forensics files episode Executive chef Jim Webb and his business partner Guy Sileo bought the General Wayne in 1995. Webb was found murdered there in his office on December 27, 1996. Felicia Moyse, a 20-year-old assistant chef at the inn and Sileo's girlfriend, committed suicide on February 22, 1997.[3] Moyse had been an alibi witness for Sileo. On the night of the murder, she and Sileo left the General Wayne at the same time, driving to dinner in their separate vehicles.[3] Sileo doubled back, killed Webb using a gun later linked to him by forensic evidence, then rushed to arrive at dinner before Moyse. Police believe that Moyse realized her boyfriend had set her up as his alibi, and had been unable to live with it.

A few years after this episode originally aired a murder and later a suicide took place at The General Wayne Inn. The murder victim was Jim Webb one of the owners of the General Wayne Inn who was murdered by Guy Sileo the other owner. What triggered the murder according to police investigators was the Inn wasn't producing enough money to support it self and Guy was too busy at other things rather than work at the Inn, despite being employed at the Inn as well. The suicide victim Felicia Moyse who was dating Sileo, apparently knew the truth about what had happened to Jim Webb and could not bear with it, so she ended her life with a shot to the head. The last thing I heard about the Inn, was that it had been purchased by new owners and had become a synagogue.

During the first case when that car started by itself and scared that young boy a similar situation happened like that to me believe it or not. About a year or two ago a couple of months after I purchased my first SUV which was a late 90s model Ford Expedition one night I was outside on my porch smoking a cigarette and out of nowhere while I was smoking my vehicle literally started by itself out of nowhere. I kid you not I literally started to freak out and I was confused. I ran inside to grab my keys to see if someone snuck into my vehicle and when I went back outside I unlocked it and there was no one in there. I thought maybe someone snuck in it and hotwired it. Then the vehicle shut itself off. I literally didn't know what to think. I actually thought that it might have been possible that my vehicle might have been haunted. True story.
