The two women screaming at each other could have been a distraction for a shoplifter. When I worked retail, we were told that they sometimes worked in teams and to not let altercations distract us from paying attention to other customers.

I’ve worked in customer service either in person or over the phone for banks. Dealt with a lot of difficult people. If your super nice workers will go out of their way to help you. If you scream they won’t. So now when I have a problem and need customer service I always start by using their name. Then I say “thank your for taking my call, I am so glad you will be able to help me.” This creates some familiarity by using their name and saying they will be able to help you puts it in their minds that they will do just that. I also say “yes ma’am or sir. No ma’am or sir” and thank you a lot. I get what I want nearly every time and even had people “bend the rules” to help me out.

definitely had people bend the rules to help me out bc i’m super nice to them. my doctor most notably. i wasn’t scheduled for routine bloodwork that day but rather a sick visit but i hadn’t eaten that day anyway and this bloodwork needs fasting. so i asked her if we could do it while i was already there to prevent an extra copay. she was like “i like you because you’re nice so yes.” i think she likes me bc i let her vent without judgment and give her a minute in the room to just take a breather and relax. especially now during covid, that moment of being around someone kind is extremely helpful.

His friend comes up and goes 'i like your vibe' goes to shake my hand, I'm like, whatever, shake his hand, then the guy goes 'youre so small, I bet I can-' puts his drink down and just lifts me up. I’m old so I remember when Cabbage Patch Kids first came out. My sister put one on hold for her daughter and went with our Mom to pick it up. She got the doll, paid and was on her way out. The store was packed with mom’s Christmas shopping and fighting over these dolls. A lady walked up to my sister and said “that’s mine!” And tried to take it from my sister. My sister was about 24 then and boy she had a temper. I saw her beat up my other sisters boyfriend because he called her a name. She was wild back then! My sister said “back off or I’ll knock you out” lady didn’t listen and my sister decked her. The store was in such a frenzy I don’t think anyone noticed because nothing happened.

I also worked in a library, and while I never saw any altercations, I do remember one time where I was putting CDs back into drawers and a woman started looking through the drawer next to me. Apparently not finding what she wanted, she told me it was too difficult to find CDs and that we needed to change our system. I didn't say anything other than "OK," but should have suggested that she be the one to reorganize them. Additionally, I recall a notice posted behind the circulation desk about a "delinquent patron" who owed over $500 in fines and was not allowed to check out any books.

I worked part time in a high end ladies clothing boutique in the late 80s/early 90s. There was one woman in her early 30s whose mother was a very good customer so we always tried to be accommodating when her mother sent her in to buy some new clothing (mom was paying). To begin with our clothing was not to her taste (she had none), she dressed very plainly, jeans, ugly sweater, absolutely no makeup. First, she talked nonstop about how her husband’s female students were always trying to seduce him. He was a teacher at a small community college, and she acted like he was totally irresistible. He came in a few minutes later. He was definitely resistible. No idea why she thought he was- totally average guy, but she keeps going on and on about how hot every girl thinks he is, even telling my coworker that I was attracted to him. I was a teenager at the time and you could tell he had a thing about younger women. I was grossed out and found both of them creepy. Then she finally tries on this brown outfit- long brown skirt, matching brown top that we sold with much brighter coordinating pieces that had red and other colors that blended with the basic brown. She refused to even try the brighter pieces on to see how they would look. Then comes the kicker, she announces that she is a practicing witch (and frankly in that plain brown outfit and wire rim glasses and pale face, she looked like one) and started performing some kind of ritual right in the middle of the store! It was completely nuts and thankfully she and her husband were the only ones in the store. She was chanting and sort dancing around the store, still in the brown outfit. Then she started making this awful wailing sound, it was terrible. And by now, they have been in the store for almost 45 mins, she still having tried on just the one outfit. Finally, it was close to closing time and my coworker explained the store would be closing soon. But they didn’t leave. We stayed way past closing to accommodate them because of the mother, who was a lovely woman who would’ve been appalled by their behavior. Finally, we told them they HAD to leave because the MALL was closing shortly and they would be locking the doors. She goes into the dressing room, we think to put her own clothing back on, but she comes out still wearing that damn brown outfit with her clothes balled up in her hands and they just leave! Not a word was said about the outfit, they just walk out of the store. My manager was like, just let them go and go lock the doors behind them! We did bill the mother for the outfit, but refrained from commenting about their bizarre behavior and just said we were happy she found something she liked. About three months later, it is closing time again and thankfully we had already locked the glass doors at the front of the store and turned off most of the lights while we were in the back gathering up our stuff to leave. As we walk out of the back we hear the front doors rattle as someone keeps trying to open them, along with banging on the glass, we look out and who do we see but the crazy daughter standing at the front doors of the store, and guess what she was wearing? If you guessed brown, you’d be right. Anyway, before she spots us, my manager grabs my arm and drags me down behind the counter so she can’t see us. We stayed there hiding behind the counter for almost twenty minutes until the mall started to close and we knew they were gone. Thankfully, the next time they came back (again 10 minutes before closing time) it was my night off and I didn’t have to deal with them, but she did ask where the girl who had such a big crush on her husband was and kept telling my coworkers that I followed him around the store like a lovesick puppy. As if. She was totally deluded. Happily, the mother told us a few months later they had moved out of state- the husband had to get a new job. Just guessing, but betting he got fired. And we never saw them again!

She became angry then informed us that, "I know manager A and manager B! I'm calling them right now!" Which she did. Manager B is the store manager. She apologized to the customer for the inconvenience then informed her that, as a former employee, she should know not to try and order things that are no longer on the menu. I was a customer in this situation but I once saw a middle aged man trying to buy beer from the store, but he had apparently been either banned or was just simply too drunk to buy alcohol. This was during covid, so the cash registers had a plexiglass on them. So the guy was banging on that with his fist, and screaming obscenities at the cashier. Cashier just kept telling him that he's gotta leave now, but he wouldn't listen. Well, a few employees just come over and push at him with a shopping cart, trying to push him towards the door, and outside of it, and blocking his way back in. It looked pretty funny, but it was most likely to keep their distance, and the cart was the only thing at hand. Who knows, he might've had a knife or another weapon. Or worse. Covid. Well, that took about 5-10 minutes. Then the cashier apologized to me and scanned my items. Told them no worries, paid and packed my shit, and left. Outside, I saw the guy was still around just standing there and swearing. I ignored him and speedwalked the fuck out of there. I thought about getting involved but, like I said, knife, another weapon, or covid. I wasn't going to take any unnecessary risks, even if I was slightly mad at him. It's just not worth getting stabbed over. Also, I was buying beer myself, so naturally I got worried he'd ask me to go back and buy him some, or just straight up take mine and beat the shit out of me.

Started screaming at the worker still demanding her money. The worker explained there was no way to do that. Then the crazy lady says “well that store is right across the street (it was) and can’t you just give me my money and get it from the other store? Good lord women! How stupid do you have to be?? That manager or higher ranking worker should ask any other businesses in the area if this guy did the same thing, mainly clothing stores with fitting rooms. I wonder if this pet shop is the kind with a wall full of tanks, because if it's that set-up then it's probably the above if the tank that needed cleaning was at the height of that region of the body. I would try making it very hard for that guy to shop in any store with vertical reflective surfaces...because he's been 86'd.

TL,DR .a crazy lady refuses to clean her dogs mess and gets banned for life. A woman today had a dog and that dog was in heat. The dog squatted on the floor in the middle of the Walmart self checkout and left a puddle of blood. The manager got her some paper towels and she slammed them on the floor and used her foot to slide over to the manager and said, “I’m not cleaning this up.”. At first I thought she was kidding. I could not believe that she could be so ridiculous. The manager told her that it was her responsibility because it was her dog. She replied, and I crap you not, “well, it’s store, so you need to clean it up.” I jumped in and told her that the bitch was was nuts, and it was her responsibility. She turned to me and said, “shut up you old drunk.” I jumped in her face and said, “Do you smell an once of alcohol on my breath?” Meanwhile the manager calls security and tells them what’s up. At first security thinks I caused the problem but the sweet manager sets them straight. This big tall black dude tells the beach to get out or clean it up. She then lies and states thet she never said that she wouldn’t do it, she just asked for a glove. The whole group of like, 8 people objects, and the security guy banned her for life.

I used to work at a restaurant when I was in high school had this one lady and her husband come in with their two children both of them little boys they couldn't have been no more than 4 or 5 years old these people were letting their kids run all over the restaurant mark on everything with crayons and if you know how hard crayons are to get out of furniture and off of people well on top of that one of the little boys was peeing in the fake potted plants by the bathroom my manager walks over there picks a little boy up by the shorts takes him back to his mom dripping pee and standing right over her purse and let him pee all over her purse himself and the chair and says get the freak out you and your family are no longer welcome at our restaurant this lady had the audacity to sit there in the restaurant and call the BBB about it to which my manager got on the phone and told them what was happening they immediately hung up on the lady and said never call back again and I know she was never welcome in our restaurant ever again.

Wait, parents can’t bring their kids into r rated movies in the UK? I’ve been going to R rated movies my entire life
@CazzyVR
@CazzyVR 2 жыл бұрын
Because in the UK there are actual Rules to the Ratings. If something says 17+ that means one must me 17 or older to us or see it... no exceptions. Here in america Parents will by little 8yo timmy tickets to see Deadpool then got heated when it was so mature. Again, idiots not paying attention to the ESRB Rating
@lucybufton7147

It depends on the rating. IE: 12A allows parents to bring children younger than 12 to a movie, but if it's just 15+ then they can't. We actually follow the guidelines in theory though most cinemas won't question someone who looks around 14 going to a 15 movie as they aren't paid enough to care.

@@CazzyVR well, that’s stupid. It’s just a movie. I seen Rob Zombie’s Halloween in theaters with my parents when I was about ten and I wouldn’t have a problem if I had a 14 year old watching Deadpool. It’s just a movie, humans are smarter than this.

In the US, anyone who is at least 6 can watch an R rated movie if their parent can show ID.

The MPAA is a voluntary organization that films are graded by with no government authority. Idk, but I believe UK has a government body that grades their content.
