I didn't even bring a playmat to my first locals and everyone was shocked when I put my deck straight on the table lol.

this deck feels ridiculously strong this set. mostly because I think ursula might be one of the most broken cards printed so far...

I have not touched purple steel mill this set. I loved that deck set 2 as well but the green toolkit seems absurdly too strong right now. Purple steel does really feel like it'd rather go down the jafar path.

because of morph, i can definitely see sometimes running shift tech cards like 1 of milos and stuff for sure.

most steel decks (including this one) have started adding rise of the titans as a 2-4x of.

something will for sure need to be done about game balance in future, and i'm not even talking about specific cards but also the play/draw issue imbalance in the game.

locations actually are tough for green steel to deal with usually, and some big hp characters as well... but the deck has a large toolkit to handle most scenarios.

Lyle is banished at the same time as the other characters, so no I don't think he will trigger. This interaction is in many other card games as well and the card has to survive to "see" other characters being banished.

I looked at milo but barely considered him. If a card is uninkable, it better be incredible to make the mill list and milo doesn't quite cut it there.

I found that I actually don't mill them too often and just win through tempo and card advantage myself. Also a lot of decks have a lot of card draw themselves so it allows me to still mill them should I choose to go that route. Also, ursula cycling back the double sing cards back into the deck keeps my deck size healthy for the mill path.

Baby Kuzgo triggers specifically when banished. Lyle needs to be on the field when a card is banished to get trigger.

@@LorcanaVillain it doesn't change the point I've made. When a triggered ability happens, it has to go somewhere. Just like when you multiple trigger at the start of turn. You're deciding what order they resolve in. So the triggers have to go somewhere. So it stands to reason that when be prepared happens, those Lyle's trigger still happens, regardless of whether he's around to see the ability resolve. Just like if you have an effect that said "whenever one of your characters is banished, you gain one lore". Things like that are designed to punish boardwipes. This is clearly that. It doesn't say "whenever one of your other characters is banished BUT Lyle isn't"

I think its solid and a contender in the meta, its combo is hard to get off consistently with all the discard disruption in the meta along with the zeus removal spell so handle with care

Shouldnt be any debate. It’s been confirmed on the official discord. He sees the other characters banished and the lore loss triggers once the opponent has resolved be prepared and their own triggers (e.g. rabbit).

once mill gets going, i feel like it wraps up the game fairly quickly as it tempos out whole new world turn after turn and finishes the mill process after 6 whole new worlds usually. But a lot of my games don't go to milling and just end up winning on board with card advantage.

locations just doesn't feel like it fits in mill, but definitely could be part of a different green steel variation, particularly an aggressive one with cursed merfolk. and of course there's the bayou beast sheriff of nottingham combo deck too.

We do have ok ink dilution with playing a 66-68 card list. Also, strike a match helps filter out some of the uninkables early. 20 has felt much better than the original 23-26 that was run during set 1 mill.

If they can get jafar to stick sure... but he has to be in play and exerted, and through double songs of strength of a raging fire, storm rage on + robin hood snipes, + mother knows best or just simply ursula hand disruption and taking the non-mill lines, i've found green steel to be actually favored in this matchup.

@@ZefaGames yeah, out of all of those options, mother knows best is a great solution. Strength of a Raging Fire can get neutralized by their steel control cards. MKB is killer. I forget about that one. Good content presentation BTW!
