This looks awesome! I'll try it tonight! Edit: so I made it, and the top with the oranges was soggy and the oranges with rind were meh to eat. The sponge tasted nice though, so I guess if I make this in the future I'll skip the glaze since I won't be eating the orange slices.

What temp did you bake that at, and for how long? I think this cake looks great, but I need the info. Thanks for the recipe.

I looked up a lemon cake recipe that did 350F for 45-55 minutes. That worked ok for me.

More than likely 350°

This looks amazing. I have to ask, the prepared pan... just buttered?

This looks amazing! However, for people with egg allergies, can the egg in the recipe be replaced with an egg substitute (such as the Neat Egg) without altering the consistency of the care batter too much?

Hay, Frank why didn't you candy or blanch the fruit? It would make the pith taste better.

Why are you always dressed like Bobby Brady? More importantly, where in the world are you getting a dozen eggs for $1.56???!!! (Vid said 2 eggs are 26 cents)
@davidl54522 жыл бұрын
SW Ohio, 18 count of eggs from Kroger is $2.65, so call it 30 cents for 2.
@mrthisbetterstick77762 жыл бұрын
@@davidl5452 Not sure how you broke your calculator, but that’s 44 cents for 2 eggs, at $2.65 a dozen…which price seems specious.
@davidl54522 жыл бұрын
@@mrthisbetterstick7776 You would be correct, if that was the price for a dozen. But I stated it was for an 18 pack, or 1.5 dozen. Price could be lower than normal due to Easter ramp-up. Week before we can usually get a dozen for $1.

@@davidl5452 Fair enough…I had dozen on the brain. Still seems too good to be true.
