Thank you for the information about the hiring process. It’s been 4 weeks since I got fingerprinted and my status still says in process Offer Ext. I’m trying to be patient but it’s sorta drivin me crazy lol. Watching your video is a big help for my patience. Thanks again 😊

I apply on September 19 of 2021 for my local office PSE ASSD position, did my exam got a 98 got a called 3 days after for fingerprints, received and email, now is 10/15 I have orientation on 10/25

I went through the hiring process pretty fast. Probably because I'm ex-military and scored a 97 on the assessment test. I got all my emails in 10 days. I'm still waiting for an orientation email. In the mean time I'm working a temp job in a warehouse until I get the email.

@@torionnafuller7649 Nope, I decided to completely back out of everything. I know it takes a while to get in but this is way to long. I got bills to pay so maybe I'll re-apply down the road if I start to dislike my current job.

Just got e-mail for Orientation for MHA, I am excited and scared at the same time. So many reviews that the job is hard and so many hours. But I am going for it. Wish me luck ! Thanks for all your info, my process was like 4 months.

Lol I start soon too and 99.9% of reviews are negative and say it's back breaking work. I compare the reviews to Amazon bc the reviews are about the same, everyone just says the money is good. I would feel more comfortable if it were 8hrs a day instead of 12 bc I know how 12s can physically kill you. All I can do is try it, find some good shoes bc that plays a huge part on your body and possibly a back brace 😒. We will c how it goes.

@@justmi8744 I actually got lucky, I am PSE now, work 5 days a week , 8 hours a day with 2 days off. So far it is not bad, the physical part is also manageable. Every review can be different, you have to see for yourself.

@@brigitagivens4460 cool, yes I was leaning more towards PSE because I did hear that it could be just as physical but you do get more of a work/home life balance rather than the MHA position. So yes, like anything, it's worth giving a try and if it doesn't work out then you can move on. Congrats to you, I'm glad you are having a positive experience.

@@justmi8744 23,000 steps in one day on dr. Marten’s air wick boots and my feet did not even hurt a litte. 10,000 minimum daily on wide nike mesh sneakers was also good. I also wore knee and arm braces but after 3 weeks didn’t need them because I had the correct kind of shoes. Shoes make all the difference.

Hello! I received my orientation email for the Mail Handler Assistant position! I accepted the position via email this morning 10/15/21. Do you know how heavy the items will be that we would be required to lift? Also, can we use dollies to help lift/carry items if it is too heavy?

Congratulations Alyssa! It depends where will they put you, but be prepared to lift 50 lbs if necessary. You can ask for help. There is a pallet jack to help you lift.

Is it a guaranteed 40 hours or more each week and do we get a set schedule? My EOD is 11/6/21, and my orientation may be the following week, but at the moment I don’t have an exact date for orientation.

First Applied for CCA , Houston texas 10/09/2020 Did MVR check 11/16/2020 Conditional job offer 12/15/2020 Fingerprints 12/16/2020 NACI background check 12/17/2020 ...quiet till late February got email someone is filled in. I re applied again 04/23/2021 Another MVR check again 06/02/2021 Got Cond. job offer 06/03/2021 and NACI background same day Then I guess I wait for Re-do fingerprints schedule...pray for me to get foot in! I got email for pre-screening fast track/fingerprinting today June 9, 2021 and go for group scheduled pre-screening process and fingerprints on June 10th 1-3 pm. Anytime between 1-3 pm to get in correct? What this is about? could lead to get hired with orientation date next step? Please help

I went for my fingerprints April 9th and they had me come back twice after that because they couldn't read them (most recently May 27th) . They already offered me the job and I'm still waiting on my orientation email. They offered me the job in March.

I was hired as a MHA. Received a call to start orientation on May 20th, explained that I would need more time to finish out my two weeks @ my present job. Then was asked if I was still interested to start. I explained yes because I'm basically quitting and will be unemployed. Was told there would be another date for orientation and I would be contacted. Never was. Who can I contact to follow-up with the details? Please help

Contact the same person. They moved on without you. Tell them you are available and ready to start. In reality, an employer will not wait for you if they have many choices. Working at the USPS is a labor job, meaning anyone can do it who is willing and ready. It's not a specialty job like the only heart surgeon in America, they will wait. All the best to you.

I am also waiting for my orientation. I completed my fingerprints Nov 12,2020. As of today it’s been a full 4 months. I was getting worried that maybe they skipped out on me, I’m trying to stay positive about it. I scored a 96 on the test.

I applied on August 2021 and did my fingerprints on 9/8/21. I’m still on offer phase ext and it’s 10/27/21. Is it normally this long of a wait? And I did contact NACl and they said that the post office has requested my background check already.

Since you will be a new employee, they will toss you around in different sections where manpower is needed. Read your job description and benefits, and see which one suits you best. I would go for something that has a benefit like medical, dental, and extra dollar per hour if you drive the forklift and electric pallet jack. Working in the plant is a straight up "labor" job and the hours is very long. Also it is mandatory to work during holidays and long weekends. They will fire you if you didn't show up when you are suppose to. So now you know the commitment of being a USPS employee, it's all in your hands.

Hi Marie, I just got the call from HR giving me the locations options that I can choose to work, but not of them work for me, I did accept the closest to me but probably I will reject it, they told me I can reapply but I am wondering if I have to wait the same time I did wait on the first time that was around 2 months since now they already have my background.

After doing everything I got a call last week saying that they’re ready to make me effective. Im supposed to become effective this Saturday 11/13 and my orientation date she said would be 11/15. She said someone would email me with orientation details. It is now Wednesday 11/10 and no one has emailed me yet. I’m supposed to start Monday and it is only 4 days till Monday and I have no idea where to go or what to do.

I did my fingerprints for MHA and on the first day of orientation everyone said they got an ID badge but i never received one

Sometimes it takes a month to get yours. It's good because you don't have to clock-in. You can just write the time you go in and out and no one really knows the exact time but you ;)

Hi, question. HR said orientation starts tomorrow 11/29 but I never received orientation email. It has been a week since job offer last Friday, waiting on employee ID number to be generated according to HR lady but supposed to start tomorrow orientation, not sure if I go or not without orientation email with employee ID #? Or just wait? Don’t want to mess up and get fired for not going on the first day since I’m on probation first 90 days. What do I do? Can’t call anyone it’s the weekend.

So, even after you do the MVR, NACI, and fingerprints, and it clears, but someone has a higher score than you, you will not receive an orientation date to get hired?

Help please....I applied back in 5/22/21....I just got a call from the USPS call on Monday 8/9/21 that I got the job she told me the orientation is where I got the fingerprinting and that she will email me with the orientation info. She also told me if I can start on the 23rd of this month at 4am to go to the office I will be working at with the address. I scored 96% on my test. But then I went to check my profile it said NOT SELECTED I have no idea what’s going on should I go to the office will I got my fingerprints to see what’s the status or am I supposed to wait.

@@MarieAdventure I got a call yesterday and she told me the system kicked me out and she can’t hire me because I didn’t complete a background check that I never received. It was very disappointing that it’s a mistake on their end and I’ve waited this long to get kicked out the next day they offer the job to me. She told me I have to start all over and reapply next time they hire for the area I wanted.

Does anyone know at what step I should put in my 2 week notice at my current job? I've been here over 9 years and don't want to leave them hanging. They know I've applied to the PO. I applied for RCA and completed the assessment, accepted job offer, and did fingerprints yesterday. Now they say I wait on an email for orientation. Does everything sound like it's on track and when do you think I should officially put in my 2 week notice? Thanks for any advice!

Hi my name is Jewel, I had applied on November 7, 2022 for Holiday clerk assistant and I had scored a 96 on the exam, I had accepted the job offer on November 10,2022 and created an NACI account the same day also I had received an email to set up my fingerprint appointment and I did my fingerprints on November 16,2022 and did my motor vehicle background check on November 17,2022 and I just received two envelopes in the mail from the USPS with my EIN and I still haven’t received an email for my orientation date yet I have been checking in my spam/junk folder every day since I did my fingerprints but when I log in to my liteblue account under epayroll it shows pay stub and I was wondering should I call HR to see when is my orientation date or email the branch I had applied to start working

I’ve got a job so I’m still making money while I wait for the orientation email from the usps so I’ll be patient and I’ll let you know when I got my orientation.Also I passed with an 83 and I was emailed and called within a week from my fingerprinting.

Hi Marie, I applied for Two PSE position in NYC and accepted the first offer, did my finger printing, received call from USPS told me to join 11/20/2021 and asked me to wait for the Orientation Email today is 11/19/2021 still I didn't get my Orientation Email. So I applied February 16, 2021 and got a contingent job offer for City Carrier/permanent w/benefits. I did my fingerprints/background on February 22nd. I’m guessing once my fingerprints/background check comes back I’ll get the orientation date? After orientation, when do I give my 2 week notice? I hear there’s no drug test and I don’t have to take the test?

@@acetekker I applied for the job, then a few days later I got the email saying I need to take the personally test. The next day it said congratulations, you got the job contingent on the the background. I accepted it, emailed for my fingerprints date and filled out my background info. Did my fingerprints a few days later on Monday. Now just waiting.

Hello G, I was sent first to a paid training before they deploy me to the job. They will give you dates, you are free to choose what day you want to start. Some chose the same day so they start earning.

Be ready for work 6/7 days 10/12hrs shifts... My first week was 8 days in a row from 5:00 am to 5:30pm. You will do everything hope management be better with you reality is new hires are temporary and we get tread it like that.. I will call it survival ..

No. Attend your orientation when it comes and start your work at usps when they tell you. If not, you missed your chance. You can reapply next year.

I applied 7/3/2022 took my test same day scored 87 for the mail carrier position, then on 7/10/2022 filled out for my driving record and background. Then on 7/27/2022 went in for finger printing now today 8/15/2022 I got my login info for the website they said to keep my eye out for the orientation email. How long does that usually take to get?

I scored a 100 on all my assessments and I have the 5 point Veterans preference and still no call. I’ve had 4 conditional offers and nothing it’s sad.

Omg the waiting is insane. “Hired” in august per email did fingerprints took badge photo and got a call 10/21 saying i start 11/6 to wait on email for location and time. Still waiting and supposed to start this week. And yes i check my junk email and nada. So me and my slip resistant shoes sit here waiting 😩. Think im getting punked until i see all the other comments. I just want to start already.

@@dawnmendez945 my husband is going thru the same thing. Were in Michigan have been waiting since August. Went to interview 3 weeks ago, Postmaster says he sees a start date of 11/6 also. Haven't received a single email. I was an RCA for 8 years, hired in 2011 never went thru this. It took 4 months for me to start work but I received emails and updates every week, I never doubted if I was actually hired. This "new" hiring process is in sane.

I'm a previous employee, and have sinced applied again. I did my fp in March and still waiting for orientation email. The hr lady called me the other dayand asked did I have my previous ein and I gave it to her. She claimed since I had the number it would process quicker still waiting..does anyone knows what happen after processing. I know my bkground ck is complete as two other employees said it was as of last week.. I guess I'm just tired of waiting .

Okay, thanks for this. Last week 02/25/2021 I received a call telling me to watch my email this week for my orientation email, and still haven't received it. Have been getting concerned. UPDATE: 03/10/2021... I just received my orientation email. I begin orientation on 03/15/2021. Thank you again!

They are under staffed. They are doing the best they can. Besides, don't be in hurry to get yourself beat up with working 6 days a week 12 hours a day. You will be working with lazy coworkers and you will do their job and they will laugh behind you for taking their load.

I was brought in for fingerprinting on March 1st and still have yet to recieve a email for orientation which I see is common but a few days after the interview I was called by the Hiring manager confirming my start date would be april 3rd and my orientation would be April 5th . Hi I have a question.. so I did everything that I was supposed to last month. On June 21st of last month, the post master called me in to fill out paper work.. it was basically the same stuff that I did online. She told me about the job and everything basically what I would be doing. June 29th, I received an email asking if I was still interested in the CCA position and I said yes. The lady emailed me back and said that she will process my application and email me again within the week. Does this sound right to you? It’s all kind of confusing to me because shouldn’t they have been processing my application from the start? I looked online and it says “offer phase ext.” I hope you reply back. Thank you! :)

I'm not sure what they are doing internally, but offer phase ext means they chose you for that position but there is a seniority in USPS. Meaning the people who scored higher than you will be deployed first. If there are no other but you then they are processing you, but the people in USPS is very busy, literally very busy. So give yourself a little patience. The fact that they called you means they are interested. They didn't call us, everything was done through email and I waited 2 months.

I applied and took the assessment the same day. And 4 days after I received an email to get driving record. And 3days after I got the fingerprints email and 5 year background. Got a call 3 days after to go in and bring my license and social security card. Now I'm just waiting for email for orientation. I applied for CCA scored 92. And applied for MHA scored 100. I only got an email offer for the CCA. I LIVE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. I wonder how long It will take for them to email me?

They normally have the phone number in the job description. Email the HR it's the same email where you connect with them for fingerprint.
