This is one of the most difficult charted airstrips in the southeast Utah backcountry. It should only be accessed by experienced-level pilots with big tire aircraft. On this day, Marc was contemplating landing this strip in his big-tire nosewheel airplane, but unfortunately, this is one of the 3% of airstrips that his airplane will not do. Typically, swirling, wrong-direction winds prevent attempting a landing here, add to it the uneven landing surface with uphills and downhills, and this airstrip lands squarely in the difficult category.
