Tae's bruises/marks look like rope or strap burns, which would make sense with the kind of intensive Special Forces training he's going through. Could be from a simple rope climbing exercise or something of that nature. Coming from a long line of military members in my family, I can tell you, it's nothing to worry about and Tae is probably pretty proud of his "battle scars" so far.

Dave...I was in the US Army and when I went on leave to go home it was mandatory for me to wear my uniform while leaving the base on my flight, at least till I got to my home. Any body that has served in the military will tell you that it is with great pride that we wore our uniforms and by no means disrespectful. It was actually recommended. I don't know if the majority of civilians know this but while you are in the military (any country not just the USA) you are "owned" by the military. You are subject to their laws and their discipline. On the topic of V's scratch marks on his back they look like the same marks we all got after carrying our duffle bags and our oversized backpacks during training, They are loaded with the supplies that you need while on a specific training ... So in my opinion they were caused while completing a specific training exercise that required to carry a heavy load for an extended period of time.

I enjoyed seeing Taehyung's new pics, and all his fans were amazed how manly, buffed and healthy he looks. I remember an issue with idols/celebrities and them having monetized postings having their military enlistment time being extended because of the money being made. This might be behind the removal and/or privatizing of videos and pics.

The Korean military service is not immune to any kind of PR, even if all eligable men are prepared for service since their young age, it is a difficult period of life, many have said so. So a little boost occasionaly is welcome, seeing a famous idol in uniform watching a soccer game, being smily and in good spirits does show a nicer picture. Just like interest for applying into SDT unit has increased since Kim Taehyung enlisted.

To the people in the comments trying to downplay the injury to Tae's back as a rash, a massage technique, or what have you can you just stop it. Some will do anything and come up with any asinine theory just to downplay the hard work and dedication that Tae is doing in his SDT service. He called it wounds of honor/glory, he wouldn't refer to a "rash" in that manner. I get it you don't like that he gets attention for his hard work and probably see red every time it's mentioned he is in SDT but get over it. Other military men have also said they got similar marks so just cut the BS. The extent to which some go just to discount him and his words while claiming to be a concerned fan is truly nauseating.

I'm sorry I don't agree wearing their uniforms is not propaganda, it is a way for them to show how proud they are of their country. When retired military personnel in the US appear in news broadcasts or any type of program that is aired to the public and they are wearing their uniforms no one ever says that they are participating in propaganda for the military. So don't assume that is what the members or other Korean men are doing when they post pics of themselves in uniform let them show their pride in their country without judgement.

Hello ! I saw this picture and thought that I might recognize this issue. My husband works out in the elements while building massive structures. He covers up against the sun, etc. he also wears gear. When he sweats in the areas covered by his safety gear often times it looks exactly like this… like a rash from the heat and sweating. I usually have to rub some type of gold bond product in those areas because it’s so itchy and red. To him, letting it air out like V is doing here, feels really good to him. This is just my opinion on what this looks like. The pattern on V’s back looks really familiar and itchy. Either way, I hope he gets proper treatment and finds relief soon!! Poor thing….but he’s doing a great job! They all are!!!
