@@USAMontanan You pay to watch movies right? Isn't it the same thing? But to watch movies or other form of art, you have to compulsorily pay. Here you have a choice. You may choose not to donate. Besides, everyone isn't middle class/poor like you & me. There are rich folks for whom a few $ a month is nothing, so they donate to support these creators. I don't see any problem in that.

I remember watching this guy about 2 years ago, one of his first videos, saying he’s living in his van and just working trying to save some money. He’s still here, living in his van, absolutely killing it!! That brisket looks incredible! and this guy is cooking this from his van!!! This channel is inspiring to say the least. It just goes to show that you don’t need much to be happy!

Yeah, trying stuffing all those enormous mountains into that tiny van. For sure a compact life he lives. A few thousand mountains on the range, and he will probably climb to the summit of every one. A thousand years from now, someone will find the few dozen cellphones that tumbled over the abyss, and wonder about life in this era. Dinosaur arm bones holding a Forestry Forest cellphone may be what the archeologist find. 😁

Foresty is so fucking inspirational. He hikes like a boss and makes it seem like easy peasy. He climbs mountains at the drop of a hat like its akin to going to a bathroom or something. And then to top that he makes more gourmet meals living out a van than most of us pseudo "chefs" make in our fully stocked and loaded kitchens in our homes. FF you are an incredible force my friend. I LOVE watching your videos and wish you nothing but the very best in life. I hope to meet you someday.

This guy is clearly powered by spirit, otherworldly. His demeanor is so unassuming. He redefines what calmness, persistence, perseverance, and courage can mean. I have witnessed this sort of extraterrestrial presentation before. It was a guy solo running a tough mudder obstacle course years ago who had a birth defect that left him without arms. The beautiful thing is that I always feel like I am there with you. Thank you.

These videos inspired me to change my life. I’m going to be 29 years old in two months. I grew up in the city my whole life and I’ve never hiked. I’ve spent the summer getting rid of a lot of my possessions, kept the necessities, and packed the rest. After years of being conditioned to live in such a polluted, materialistic, unnatural environment where we’ve been conditioned to be reliant on needless technology, self-serving short-term hedonistic gratification, and estrogen-infused super market food; I’m legit ready to move up north and live a life being surrounded by nature. I’m looking forward to learning more survival techniques and hopefully taking these kinds of trips.

FF you are a freaking artist, a pro, an athlete, a chef, a photographer a videographer a minimalist and obviously so many more things. I really appreciate your humble attitude, life style and staying away from toxic social media (youtube the exception) like instagram and twitter. I would understand if you did leverage Instagram and Twit due to the fact recognition is how you make money with increased exposure bringing more views, sponsors and Patreons etc...which is your job, your source of income, but I give you that much more respect because you don't. Even if you were in the most tricked out rig with 5MM subs, the latest gear sponsors knocking your doors down, I'd still love your channel due to your skills capturing your cooking, climbing, riding, touring content and your personality...economy of words. Keep it going brother. Your occupy a lifestyle niche with few competitors. Edit: and just one more thing, even your out-tro (if that's a word) was stunning, entertaining with great music as your patrons scroll by in front of that Foresty Van Gogh videoscape. Not a dull moment dude. Sometimes I like to multitask when watching vids but never with you. Each frame of content has value and thought in it. Don't change anything!!

I spent 10 years in the British Infantry walking (not by choice) up the hills of wales and Scotland in the pouring rain, and then Moses came and parted the Red Sea and delivered Gortex 😁😁 it was a life altering occurrence!!!! But when it came to wearing out your old faithful boots and getting new ones 😯😯 you would find yourself surrounded by 4 other guys with your feet in a hot bathtub of water. Oh the pain and agony of breaking in combat infantry boots, somehow Gortex never found its way into them. But man did Berghaus make an unbelievable pair of Gortex gaiters with rubber surrounds that you stretched over your boots. You had to sleep with one eye open in fear of someone stealing them from you 😁😁😁 awesome video again Sir !!! My 50,year old knees, hips and back say well done from the flatlands of Alberta!!!!!

Man oh man do I ever love this guys videos. Such a talented cinematographer and I work in film so I would know. I’m hooked. I’ve binge watched his videos many times. It’s funny- when I don’t see Foresty on here for a bit- I actually worry. What a gem.

I hope several of the companies that make your hiking gear see this video and sponsor you. I guesstimate .00001 of consumers use the same gear to this extent.

Have been waiting all week for your video to post and just into the first 2mins and have to comment on how beautiful your screen shots make my living room look. I pause some frames and just absorb the feeling it gives me, my tv screen is pretty big, so the mountains come thru pretty majestically. Thank you for sharing your life.

Holy smokes forest look at your Patrons! That’s so awesome, good for you, no Ontario factory in your future! My Daughter was doing the Van life in B.C with 3 friends but they had to head back to Banff because of the smoke & one of them got an ankle sprain during a climb. Looks like they’re going to hunker down in Banff for snow season and get some resort work and carry on in the spring.

I'm living in Los Angeles right now and it is tough to go outside right now with the air quality from the fires all around along with COVID still having a strong presence here. Your vids help me get some "outdoor" time and really get me excited to travel and be outside again. Cant wait for the next one foresty forest, stay out of that factory!!
