As a child that lived in the woods for a time when I was small, I cried when I saw the house and heater and electricity. As a mother to children, I cried again when the little one could not count past 12. I taught my children at home. Even my developmentally disabled son could count past 12 at 8 years old. God love that little angel. Thank you for helping them.

Whether Katya is the only one entitled to that apartment is the issue at hand, and she is obviously facing mental health challenges, from stress, if nothing else, and the housing insecurity is a massive complication. I feel really sorry for Katya. She is an extremely vulnerable woman who obviously needs to live with someone who cares for her. In the Uk we have supported living flats, where disabled people can live a semi autonomous life but have the support of carers when needed. The fact that she has abandoned so many children clearly shows how vulnerable this poor woman is. It seems like her relatives have taken over her flat and are being abusive towards her. Shame on them. I hope Sergei can sort this out.

It becomes unfortunate that living out on the streets a woman is very vulnerable to being raped over and over again, being disabled is even more vulnerable leaving her without power to contend with such. And its strange that family live in the apartment but take the rent from Katya even though she is no longer staying in the apartment. And go to the Post Office with her to collect the money?

@@Jayapullani I wondered wether she had been raped. We will never know. But even if she was not raped she clearly doesn’t have the cognitive ability to understand the consequences of having sex. @@Jayapullani - The lady said that Katya stopped paying anything. She said that she only collected from her what was needed to pay for utilities. They were (supposedly) given the place to live, so I'm guessing there was no rent to be paid. Just utilities. What bothers me is that the woman said she was "registered" for that place, yet when asked for proof she changed her story. But then, if they were all living in the same place before this one, it would make sense that the more recent one would also be for all of them and not just Katya (unless it was really given to just her because of her disability).

The story of the family with insufficient housing was so incredible and heartwarming. It is such a shame that the children aren't able to get to school or to receive an education. She also mentioned that she used to live in the apartment alone. It was just a moment in the video, but it was very illuminating. @@janeenharris3074 this woman herself lives in an apartment that is falling apart, do you think she can afford contraception for someone who isn't even her family? This stuff isn't cheap, and she can't be trusted with pills since we know she is mentally disabled, so she might end up taking too many or skipping pills. So she'd need an implant (few hundred euro) or IUD (also couple hundred euro). Where do you think could she get that amount of money of? We don't even know what exactly is her diagnosis. She might not be disabled in a way that makes her an rasy target, and for all we know she knows exactly what she is going by both having unprotected sex and giving her babies away. I imagine the woman in the apartment was already sick of the situation, and having to explain to everyone what the situation actually is. She sounded reasonably well spoken. I had some awful people in my family who were pathological liars, addicts and would bring all kinds of issues while also refusing any help from the outside and they're much more similar to Katya than to the woman from the apartment. This video was hard to watch- especially the part exploiting the disabled woman's tragic life for content. Can you imagine if you were a homeless disabled person and a random KZfaqr showed up and started interrogating you about your relationship with your children? I have no problem with using philanthropy to generate content but these people are going through hard times and they are agreeing to be humiliated to get help. No man wants to be filmed explaining why he can't provide for his family and his kids are living in a tent.

@@MorgueRat What lies? You can see for yourself he films a man who has nothing, putting his pain on youtube. And he is questioning this disabled lady until she is asking to be left alone. He does appear to help people, and thats great. But is it charity if you're using it to create content? I understand, the content helps raise money to do more good. Also, I'm not sure what you are implying by "their own government won't do a damn thing". Do you think these videos put the Russian government in a bad light? I don't think so. And I'm pretty sure, if others agreed with you this channel or this user would disappear.

@@latjjtal I've been watching his videos for months now. Get off your high horse. He makes this public so people can see the neglect those people face over there every single day. He gets donations from viewers to help the people in his country. What is so wrong with that? We have people in the U.S. like MD Motivator and Jimmy Darts who do the same thing. They're helping people more than the government.

Katya ha been taken advantage of every day of her life. What kind of world could she make for her kids?! Sometimes the best gift a mother can give, is to offer their children an actual future. What kind of life would her kids have when she has no home. I trust her “aunt” as far as I can throw her. And for her to throw that in her face, shows the kind of person SHE truly is. I hope they find those documents and prove one way or another because the Aunt was seemingly not being honest. Why wouldn’t she say “here are the documents”. Something isn’t right. Katya is obviously distraught over her situation and feels utterly alone. My heart aches for her.

@@juliajohnson5276 It's easy to blame Putin for everything but in this regard it's actually Americans faults for that law. In the early 2000's till that law was signed into affect Americans were on an adoption craze. Unfortunately, they wanted perfect kids and some of those adopted children were emotionally damaged. I remember some Americans were trying to return children back to Russia stating they were lied to by the adoption agencies. The reason for the law being put into place was an adopted Russian child died in a hot car of heat stroke in Virginia, I believe by the adoptive parents. I was at that time was looking into adopting from Russia but the law and the politics killed that dream. What it comes down to is this. No matter if a child has emotional issues it is still your child. You take the good with the bad or the bad with the good. If you adopt then you take care of that child. That's my belief on that matter.

This all leaves me completely speechless. So much misery and poverty, children without school education, in such a huge, rich country with incredible resources.... Some of these people live like they did a hundred years ago, in wooden huts... and without halfway decent health care. Thanks for your help, even if it won't solve the basic problems...Disabled people are exploited, robbed and enslaved (Dima)... And the perpetrators get away with it? How can this happen nowadays? I really love what you are doing Sergej, (don't get me wrong) and i hope you go on helping all these people in such horrible situations. But it shouldn't be neccesary at all...

Sergei & Co.. I would just like to thank you all for being decent, real, kind, sweet, thoughtful, empathetic & Caring human beings. I cried watching this. I did.. This Broke my heart. the bathtub, layers if clothing... and no education! I'm from & I live in Scotland, we are very very lucky people in comparison to yours - I mean that in the nicest way. We don't see such things, yes there is poverty - but nothing like this. The children- didn't ask for nothing, then when they did - they asked for very little.. They were HAPPY with what they were given & thankful. Look at those smiles you and your friends put on their faces with small gifts - never forget those smiles - you all accomplished this. I have worked all my life, I have a good life, an amazing life in comparison to these children and parents. I have NOTHING to moan about as I have everything & more in my life. Yes I worked hard for it and I made my own luck, I had quidance from my parents, I had a family - NOT EVERYONE HAS THAT... We aren't always lucky. You are all doing an amazing job by supporting those in need. We need more people like you. I too when I can gift people with small acts of kindness, kindness costs nothing - especially when you have everything and you see others go without the basics in life. Keep up the amazing deeds and acts of kindness.. paying it forward. One day you will see the difference you have made to people's lives- they'll never forget you.. just like Dima never forgot Mom Natasha - years later he got the opportunity to do do - because you helped him.. That's gratitude! One day they wil alll look for you too.. they 'll come to Thank you. You made me cry, smile and laugh Amazing! Perhaps the new building that arrived could install a small woodstove because if the electricity is expensive it would be difficult to afford to pay for it. Of course once the house is built they could install a woodstove that also serves as a cooking stove, so it will keep the house warm and also be a cooking appliance for them. I forget now how they kept warm in the tent? But woodstove would give them two options to keep the cabin warm whichever is within their budget. Last week it came to mind that even a good barbecue stove would be useful for cooking on good days outside of the tent, and in some of these food can even be roasted or bread baked, or flatbreads made on a stone placed over the grills.
