Vauxhall Insignia fuel cap lock fix

Vauxhall Insignia fuel cap lock problem, how to access and repair, also how to remove the lock to refuel in an emergency . A basic driveway/ garage forecourt repair when a garage can't help for a few days. I'm not an expert but this may help someone out.

Very helpful video. I have the same issue with my Vauxhall Mokka. The process is the same, however the torx screws holding the inner mud guard had corroded, so took me quite some time to remove them. The rest was as per your video. Well done.

John Wright Very helpful, the pin on mine has broken, solenoid working but no pin to lock in the cap. I bought a locking petrol cap for mine which does the trick. I am not as nimble as I was but think I will give it a go. Thanks for the info, cheers

Great video.Im having the sort of same issue,I have to either press the manual door lock unlock button inside the car or double press the unlock on the keyfob.I must get round to replace the actuator.

thanks for that - I have this problem too but in my case, the lock doesn't lock this what should be locked ;). I only hope that it is a solenoid issue and that the locking arm is fine - I didn't notice this issue when I bought the car

My fuel cap is not working and also driver door dont respond for central locking from key . Other 3 doors work perfectly . Any ideas why? Ive check driver door loom is ok . No broken wires .

Rubbish advice just drill holes and break the thing then cut through the plastic pin that locks it shut job done in 10 mins then order a new one from e Bay for £8 simple
