Very spoiled Pit Bull throws a hissy fit over having to wait for her vegetables

Veronica gets cooked vegetables after she has her dinner. She eats her vegetables while I eat my dinner. We sit together and I feed her her vegetables from a fork while I eat my dinner. Everyone is happy. Except that recently Veronica has been on a 3 month course of prednisone for an ear hematoma (which is all better and she is almost tapered off the prednisone). However the prednisone made her ravenously hungry, and yes we did take pity on her and feed her a bit more, especially when she voiced discomfort. Now we have an extra, extra spoiled dog who thinks she shouldn't have to wait AT ALL when her highness is peckish.

I agree. I had a pit as a teen. He loved me so much and was such a sweetie with kids. When we would walk him around town, everyone would stop to pet him and he loved it. When I was home sick from school, he would sleep at the foot of my bed as if he were comforting and protecting me. Loved him so much.

@Pete Darby She was on it for 3 months for a hematoma in her ear. So we did take pity on her and gave her extra snacks. Then she came off the prednisone and we had to explan to her that all those extra snack times were going away! She was not happy, and it took awhile to convince her LOL!!

Is your dog an older dog? The reason I ask is because I notice that whenever I give the neighborhood older dogs treats ,(with a parent's permission), they have that irresistible face to which it is hard to say no.
