Last weeks Vessel Education Training session got Jeev comfortable running his 🛥2017 Sea Ray 40 Sundancer🛥 in and out of the harbor and slip.
In this video the operator is dealing with multiple factors that affect docking, including the 5mph current on the Detroit River, along with the shifting winds that were present that day. As we were approaching the dock, he walks it in just using the throttles nice and slowly. Note how much time he is spending in neutral and is just shifting in and out of gear to adjust the angle of the boat coming into the slip.
Remember, when it comes to docking a boat;
🔷NEUTRAL IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
🔷NEVER COME INTO THE DOCK ANY QUICKER THAN YOU WANT TO HIT IT
Schedule your Vessel Education Training appointment today to get hands on training aboard your boat to give you the skill set and confidence to operate your boat safely on the water.
