I came across out of touch on instagram today & i got goosebumps, cried and felt like i heard it hundreds of times. I was born in 1984 and my mom listened to it all the time while she was pregnant with me.

It's funny how he brings up the "upcoming" Liberty Concert. The Liberty Concert has been the most influential piece of music of the last 2 years of my life. I wish all of history was on video tape.

Liberty Park July 4, 1985 was one helluva show. They thought it'd be a medium sized show. 60,000 fans showed up!

I've watched that concert so many times on KZfaq. It's my favorite musical moment history, despite only being 3 at the time.

I thought it sounded pretty awful. Hall's voice sounded shaky and strained. Maybe it was bad acoustics in that type of setting.

Ha! "A relationship based on cowardice!" In addition to being my favorites, they are incredibly funny!

That was a rumor going around --- not true! They both loved women - look at how many songs they made about heartbreak. Would they still be together if they were gay? Daryl has been married+ bad divorce) last I heard John Oates was happily married.

why in God's green earth, would Bryant Gumbel ask such a stupid question about who thinks theyre gay lovers? lm surprised Daryl or John didnt lash out at him after being asked that! Wtf! Just talk about their careers and be thankful that they DO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER after 17 years!Ive never read or heard anything like that being directed to Simon and Garfunkel or Loggins and Messina, or any other duo in pop history.

Because, as Daryl mentioned, they had an album cover with both of them in heavy makeup. And they were on the cover of Rolling Stone with a picture of Daryl hugging John. And they lived together for a long time even after they could afford to live separately. A lot of people back then thought they were gay, and some probably still do. Kudos to them for not caring.

Because people weren't scared back then to ask what people wanna know Miss those times. Fuck political correctness. Fuck the censorship and intolerance of the so called tolerant times of today; We can ask whatever we want. Besides Its Oats gay mustache to blame LOL Even queen said Freddy's mustache made him look gayer
@all4Hisgloryalone2Tim2154 жыл бұрын
Ya cause the way Hall and Oats dressed, danced, styled their hair and the infamous mustache is an equal comparison to Simon and Garfunkle and Loggins and Messina. LOL I loved their music but i've wondered if they were gay You'll say it doesnt matter...cool then we can ask

80's were a different time. Homosexuality wasn't widely accepted until the 2000 to 2010 decade. It doesn't make it right, it just allows you to understand the thought process of the time.

Soon after this interview they completely failed at music, but then came back as the greatest magicians ever, they had white tigers and lived in Las Vegas, unfortunately Oates was attacked onstage, the Tiger thought his moustache was a chinchilla and it was hungry! RIP Roy Oates, Siegfried Hall is still rocking today 🤘😵🤘

It was a photo shoot! Come on guys! Really? Your focusing on a rumor that isn't true! I went through that in high school - my BFF and I were best buds, went to the all the same classes, talked for hours on the phone - there were rumors that we were gay!

They didn't wear drag. Look up drag. You don't know the definition of drag. Then go back to your cave in Florida and wait to cast your vote for that maniac Trump
