I have worked in banking over 20 years -- that bank teller who refused to do the wire should have contacted the wire department immediately after she left so any further attempts could be denied at any other branch. I went through this when we dealt with Western Union at one of my past employers -- while I couldn't stop the woman from sending the money, I contacted WU immediately after she left. Sometimes though, there is no saving people from themselves.
@SKC193
@SKC193 Жыл бұрын
I basically had the same problem at work many years ago. An older lady was sending money to someone, I forgot where, I finally asked her about it. She was secretive about it. I finally called someone higher up at WU. Next time she came in I called & let her talk to the lady at WU. She had no luck talking to her either. We finally had to just refuse WU services to her after that. I always wondered about her.

That’s a gross misrepresentation of what that saying means. It doesn’t mean you only give compassion and charity to people in your family, community, country, etc. It means parents should be teaching their children - IN THE HOME - how to be charitable, kind, and compassionate. A starving child in America is no more deserving of food and help than a starving child in Africa. That kind of thinking is xenophobic and gross.
