Victoria, Princess Royal (Victoria Adelaide Mary Louisa; 21 November 1840 - 5 August 1901) was German Empress and Queen of Prussia as the wife of German Emperor Frederick III. She was the eldest child of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Albert, Prince Consort, and was created Princess Royal in 1841. She was the mother of Wilhelm II, German Emperor.

The focus on the way a person looks was much more kind than it is in present day. The thousands of ways that Queen Victoria along with Prince Consort Albert, changed the world for the better is such an achievement. Being successful is far better than being more attractive.

Her mother's twin, not just as she got older, but always. Check out a young Queen Victoria. In fact, I first thought this video was about Queen Victoria, until I saw the title.

Nah, if anything Vicki was one of hermost distinct looking children. The rest look alike and have strong hanoverian features. Vicki's features don't look Hanoverian or like her mother.

Her mother is 150 cm, and she was like 2-3 cm shorter than her mother. But she looks quite tall here, lol

Proportions often matter. There are tall people who look short and short people who look like they Re tall or should be taller.

I think by modern standards Vivki would be more conventionally attractive. I personally believe she was the prettiest and also the most distinctive to look at. Her siblings all had the Hanoverian looks. I also just don't see how people found Louise to be attractice. She was an ok looking woman.

Her long drawn out death was awful. Palliative care was rudimentary in that era but the incompetent (almost sadistic) lack of care by her German doctors was scandalous. One of her ladies in waiting actually asked if she could move to a room further from her mistress because her cries of anguish all through the night were so harrowing to listen to. She was on tiny doses of morphine because the stubborn medical team wanted to avoid her becoming addicted (so better to die screaming in agony than become drug addicted - utterly stupid and utterly cruel in every way). Her sister Beatrice visited her in November 1900 and was distressed to see her, even then in so much pain. The poor lady was to endure a further 9 months until the nightmare finally ended in August 1901.

The younger Victoria died fairly young at age 60 in the same year as her mother 1901, I think. The younger Victoria also gets a bad rap by history, since she was also the mother of Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany whom many people blame today still as being the main instigater of World War I in which millions of people died and suffered. Another royal twist was that Princess Margaret of Hesse who was Princess Victoria's youngest child had twin boys, one of whom later grew up and married a sister of Prince Philip, thus becoming a brother-in-law of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

Odd that Queen Victoria, a not particularly beautiful woman, should have produced such nice looking kids. Probably because of Albert who was good looking. A real stud, by all accounts. They must have been very proud of their offspring, and so they should have been. But all them Georgian descendants aged badly. You just have to look at the most recent Princess Margaret. They just get jowle-y. Their faces sink. Not their fault. Just how it is.
