Try this on a Swiss Champ where you have like 2cm btw knife and wire stripper. :)

Leatherman lovers would want to flame you for that comment, but being an owner of 2 Leatherman tools and several Vic SAKs, I can testify that the SAKs are much easier to carry around on a daily basis. That’s my opinion

I hike a lot as I'm retired. I carry both a SAK and a Leather man multi tool. Between the two, I can do about any thing.

I carry a Leatherman Wave in addition to my Victorinox Compact or Huntsman. Never encountered anything that couldn't be solved by this combo

I switched from Leatherman to SAK (Tinker Deluxe) to save weight. I'm really loving it so far. And I didn't know that u could strip wire with it! So glad I found this channel!!

Once you are shown how to use a SAK properly, it opens up a whole new world I have ALWAYS wondered how the wire notch is supposed to be used, because I have never been able to strip wire with it effectively and thought it was just a gimmick. But I have watched a few of these videos now, and have come to realise that SAKs don't 'do' gimmicks everything has a purpose and function and an apparent 'failure' of the function is actually operator error.

The locking trick for the long blade is perfect for the phillips/can opener blade. I've had it collapse on me several times and this trick eliminates the gouged fingers. Thank you! I love my SAK and carry it everyday!

I've been carrying Swiss Army knives of various types since I was a kid, and I never once realized I could use the blade as a mirror. *sigh* The wire-stripper trick is also ingenious. I've always used the scissors for cutting wire insulation; it usually works fine, but with very thin wires I occasionally cut them by accident.

No, this technique is a bit different, it‘s not necessarie to lock the saw blade. But a spear point should be locked. Greetings from Switzerland

These tips are extremely useful, thank you Felix. Could you please show us some tips on the use of the Victorinox pliers? I'm a big fan of Vic models with pliers (Deluxe Tinker, Swisschamp) and I understand they're not as sturdy as pliers based multitools such as the SwissTool, but I'm sure someone as smart as you can make the most of those pliers.

i made with victorinox type knive a wooden fork, somewhere 20 cm long for cooking for my mother. I used blade, 2 saws and a raps. at home i finished it, but even begining was good. she is happy and still uses it
