btw thoughts on boys season 3?

I honestly wonder how the cast will react. Will they blame the fans considering this cancellation was basically willed into existence by them? Honestly though 9 seasons is respectable even though the show itself had no real business lasting past season 5. A buddy of mine is one of the camera crew on the show and even he told me he was shocked it lasted as long as it did. I think they should just transition Grant into the film version of the character. I think the fans could accept it and it would still be fresh as he would be with all new versions of the other characters. But at least this means we have only a set few more episodes to put up with Allegra, Cecil, Iris and Chuck. At this point I low key want Thawne to just finish them off in the finale lol.

what cancellation? you know there's a big difference between shows ending and being cancelled right? Riverdale and the flash are both ending, neither of them were cancelled.

@@UltraLuigi2401 there’s still a massive difference. If the flash was canceled then they wouldn’t be doing a season 9 since it isn’t even in production yet.

I also grew up with the show, but stopped watching after season 6 because I think we can all agree it just went to complete shit. After hearing this though, I almost feel some sort of obligation to watch it

For example google said Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman would be in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, however they were never seen. It's unlikely Grant will cameo although I am hopeful

True that, as much as I complain about this show and it's writing I can't help but be a bit sad that it and the arrowverse as a whole are gonna end. Been a hell of a ride though.

I’m so done with this show. It was at its best with seasons 1-3. Now, I can’t get excited for it anymore. I don’t enjoy watching it like I used to. It’s just a mess.

It had it's best and worst moments but it was still very comforting to watch. I hope when they do try something like this again (which would be unlikely) they do a better job at writing and I want them to cast everyone else again. Honestly it's been a rollercoaster and I am a bit sad.

Best dc show besides young justice, marvel wise it's daredevil but Smallville is easily top 3 in my opinion. Glad to see you share a good and positive opinion as well

I suppose... However, the first, maybe first few seasons of Smallville were great, then the absurd amount of drama, love triangles and Clark not telling his friends anything killed it for me. Furthermore, it took Clark way too long to discover all his abilities. The journey itself is awsome but just annoyingly long-winded. Don't forget the repetitivness, also. The 'best' superhero shows in my eyes are Spawn, Heroes, Legion, season 1&2 of Umbrella Academy, Uncanny Counter (Gyeongiroun Somun, what I'm watching right now), Doom Patrol, season one maybe 2 of Arrow, season one maybe 2 or 3 of Jessica Jones and of course Daredevil. Invincible is shit. The Boys is well made and acted for the most part, but not my cup of tea. I prefer secretive heroes. To this day I would say Heroes pulled the hero/non-hero style off the best of all of them, because the characters from this show have actual (overpowered) superpowers and not just super strength or other unimaginative abilities. Is it shocking even Batwoman had a more chance of success with more recognized IP than even Gotham knights. They literally could had used any underrated robin including his own daughter Helena Wayne or even Duke Thomas. Instead they made a new one called Turner Hayes. This show is getting canceled for sure.

My theory is that all the events of the show is dreamt up by Barry while he’s still in a coma at the hospital. The ending of the show cuts back to the scene where he starts seizing until he eventually flatlines and the show ends

But he hold on a second, don't laugh, Korean shows on Netflix sometimes feature superheroes/people with special abilities and those are now better made than Hollywood's crap. Recently, Netflix got their hands on a juggernaut of a movie even called RRR. It is likely the most underappreciated or unknown action drama this year with two superhero-like protagonists. This movie was incredible, the humor and feelings too, far from the Marvel humor that you want to erase from your mind.
