Heroes of Might and Magic! and the old Might and Magic RPGs! God, I thought I was the only person on earth who had ever heard of those games! I always did like the art in those games. A kind of mature-looking high-fantasy art style. Reminds me a lot of the artwork for D&D or MtG cards.

I'm somewhat surprised that he didn't understand the 'Fun is Infinite' thing on the card. I some version of Sonic CD, (It might be Japan-Only.) one of the songs in the track selection brings you to a quite horrifying, if you haven't seen it before, screen with Sonic with some weird distorted, different face. If you don't know what it is, just Google 'Fun is Infinite', and select the first result, it should be a video. It really is quite strange.

I just rediscovered the original old Might and Magic games, a while back. I have killed an astronomical number of skeletons, slimes, and whatnot. Serious retro fun!

For those potentially unaware: Tarot more properly refers to the deck of cards, not the "divination" method. A Tarot deck is typically made of a major and minor arcana, the minor arcana being very similar to the modern 52 card deck (some variations have an extra card per suit). The major arcana is the 22 card part that most people know about (justice, the emperor, death, et cetera).

Sonic has had a really shit history on consoles since the 90s. His handheld games for a long time were the only thing really keeping him going, but Colours and Generations were rather good at least. Mania's definitely the step forward for the 2D stuff and Forces is coming out later this year and it looks kind of okay so far I suppose? I really need to play the first South Park RPG. Looks fun. Never played Just Cause either. Apparently it's a decent series. I've never even heard of Might and Magic.

Would it have been so hard to make an actual game cart that works and has a bunch of the levels on it? Heck, put it on a flash card inside the cart and you still have room for the silly golden ring.

The ring cart is just to big to fit in the slot of an original console. So it's not 100% to scale. And the console Sonic stands on is as cheap a plastic as you can get. I'm scared to touch it as it feels like it will break at any moment. Not really worth it IMO.

It just baffles me to no end that there's still people who roll with the extremely outdated "all Sonic games are bad" bandwagon nowadays. Maybe back in the 2006-2010 time period, but you really have to not be paying any actual attention to Sonic as a whole to think that Sonic is still anywhere near "is he ever going to get a decent game again?" territory. Take Sonic Boom out of it, since considering it's meant to be a completely separate continuity is kinda like shitting over Super Mario Bros because Sticker Star was crap, and Sonic's not had a game that can't be at least classified as "decent" since Black Knight, and that's only if you count Black Knight as a bad game, which is extremely objective in the first place. The thing that's sad to me is that Sonic has been so badly beaten up by his so-called "dark age" that people who just casually follow Sonic don't even know that games like Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, the Sonic Advance games, Sonic Rush, ect, even exist.
