I have to say, the factory steps are surprisingly tough. I found out through first hand experience. Fortunately, even the whole weight of the car landing on one of the steps on a big rut did not damage the car. Side steps aren't quite straight anymore but the sills are still in great shape :) Rock sliders will be on the way eventually.

I recently bought and fitted arb steps to same. I was going to buy tjm until I read fb comments of people saying tjm quality is down and some guy bent his so bad he threw them away. They are not meant to be rock sliders but the arb ones seem similar but definitely have beefier brackets than these. Two main brackets are way more engineered but trickier to fit. The brake line avoidance is superior too. Arb not perfect, probably weigh more, cost more, instructions ordinary, and some minor stuff missing from the kit.

Swithering between these or the SCF Fatboys. Tempted by these as I've got their Outback bullbar, so the sidebars would be a doddle to fit, but knowing my luck I'm thinking beefier is better, hence the SCF ones. 🤷 Be interested to hear how the hold up once you've healed up. All theoretical atm anyway, the Finance Faeries tell me I have to wait until July if I don't want ice soup for dinner...

Did you have any issues with the fuel lines? I installed my steps today but can't get the fuel line clips to click back in 🤔. You made it look so easy.

If you put an after market fuel tank on, would these fit I wonder.
