Lovely how Medo follows Antonio when he went up from the chair. Kinda liking the idea Medo has grown to the norm of seeing Antonio just sat on his chair, in front of the computer - then the moment comes he stands up, Medo knows something is up.

Opening 04:02 Nb1 is an awesome way to reroute the N. Middlegame: Wow. Magnus played on, but had a perpetual. Summary Berlins are now very interesting because white is ready to fight. White is not going for the Berlin ending nowadays. If white is ready to fight, then so is black, and we are getting so many decisive results. This is great for us chess viewers.

Very cool game. Awesome attack with equally awesome replies! I liked how in one of the mating patterns shown -- had it continued -- opened a file for the Rook to deliver a mate in that line. Great to learn form the best in the world and for the best commentary as well. Thx.

Hikaru’s Qf1 seems brilliant. Forces Carlsen to capture the rook on g1 and after Qxg1 Carlsen can no longer castle queenside because of the hanging a7 pawn. Also unpinned his queen. Brilliant.

I'm actually astonished that Hikaru won this - not because of his record against Carlsen, but because of the position after the opening. Even though Carlsen was down a piece the position looked completely crushing - but somehow Nakamura defended.

I used the evaluation bar on this game. After Hikaru played Kh1 it really favoured Magnus. Kg2 was the suggested move - I guess protecting the knight freeing the queen. But as soon as Magnus played g3 it swung dramatically in favour of Hikaru.
