The only thing that "scares" me after a break up is that I can start loving too much my solitude and myself again. Then, no room is left for an ex coming back nor for new people to get closer.

I pleaded and begged for about 3 months after the breakup. We do have kids together and I was trying to bring my family back together however after seeing her and she couldn't stand looking at me. Nor did she want to discuss and resolve the resentment and hatred towards one another. I knew at that moment that I had to let her go and that's exactly what I did. I realised that I was sacrificing my inner peace for something that has been or could have been. This was when I realised that my inner peace was far more important to me than trying to get back something that I lost. One of the hardest parts is forgiving yourself and moving forward knowing that you were the one to blame for the breakup.

So my ex immediately got into a new relationship (or monkey branched into it?), she broke up with me 3 weeks ago. I didn't know about the NC thing and after 2 weeks, I asked her how she's feeling, to which she replied she's not sure and when I probed further, she told me she's having issues with her new bf and that made her miss me. Obviously I overreacted and told her if she's already having issues she should consider coming back, which was a mistake (again, didn't know about the whole NC strategy back then). I kinda wonder though what's up with that? Why did she tell me about issues and that she misses me? Is it genuine? Is it a good sign?
