Statistically speaking the optimal strategy without items is always to just shoot the dealer reguardless of the shell ratio. The benefits of going again don't outweigh the risk of shooting yourself.

Smash TV was a certified classic! Dropped acid with my friend years ago and we just played all the way through the game. At one point he thought my character was his and just started watching for awhile 😂 beat it in like 2 hours, so fun. Iconic lines I quote them often. BIG money! BIIG PRIZES!! Good luck! joel is actually smart here because when he's not sure what's in the chamber he opts to shoot the dealer, shooting the dealer or yourself doesn't matter in terms of chances of taking damage, but making the dealer end the turn on a blank means it skips the dealers turn
