Nice piece of kit! I used to repair these when I was working at JVC. They were quite expensive when they first came out so I found a faulty 2nd hand one and repaired it. I kept it for a year or so then sold it. At the time the pictures were of a better quality than most of the newer VCR's that came out in the early 80's !

I've been using this same model VCR for almost 15 years, i felt its importance when i bought new model VCR Panasonic SD 300. That was really solid thing which played our poor quality rental cassetts.

This isn't the first VHS VCR, that belongs to the normal Victor HR-3330, which went on sale on October 31, 1976 in Japan. This is the HR-3300U which came out later in 1977. The first VHS VCR to be sold in the US was the RCA VBT200.
