I have the MagBak and yeah it takes a while to put on, and from your video a lot of work to take off. The only reason I'm considering these is the simplicity when changing the tire(s). With the MagBak it will take some time and I would have to do it to avoid any potential add on fees from a tire shop. The biggest plus side is the fact you can replace a damaged section with the MagBak which I have done already.

I received mine today and they fit perfectly. I did curb rash my rear driver's side wheel but I was able to fix it by sanding it down and using touch up paint. That said I installed the foam around the wheel and placed a strip for each prottruding lip. I assume your wheel is out of round or the lip bent so it doesn't stay tight. Just my 2 cents.

Why have you not curbed these protectors in two weeks? The take away is: protect your rims as if you had rim protectors on them.

I haven’t got in a fatal car crash in two weeks, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not a good prudent idea for me to wear my seatbelt👍

The problem is as many have already stated, the Tesla wheels stick out even with the tires making it easier to curb and damage them. I've never curbed a wheel in my life, until I got a Tesla.

Why don't you put a little doubled sided tape on the gapped area? If they made them for the Model Y Performance wheels, then I'd probably buy a couple sets.

So far I haven't heard they are. I imagine it will depend on the success of this rim guard.

They do have it for the 21” uberturbine if you’re still interested in them. They fit like a glove on mine.

Yeah I bought the all-in-one Rim Protector for Tesla Model 3 Performance 20-inch Uberturbine Wheel from Teslaunch. Haven’t fitted them yet, but they look good.
