its not schooling. what hes saying is fucking stupid. hes saying "whoever can rock the crowd is great" and goes on about biz markie being one of the greats just cuz of his performance. well, if that's the case, than is lil uzi and travis scott and famous dex all one of the greats? because theyre shows are crazier than any other rappers right now.. so ?? rugged man is contradicting himself so much here.
@edwinalcox18106 жыл бұрын
Impulsive Wandering i think you're not really understanding what he says. No disrespect or anything. But he's arguing against someone's who's idea of someone being one of the greatest being based on album sales and not overall impact. He's trying to explain that its more than that when you're looking at it from a purist point of view. Bizs importance to the culture is unquestionable to those who are intrenched in the actual culture, not to those who are only interested in recent hits. Vlad disagrees.
@lysergicthesaurus94576 жыл бұрын
Jay z is a good rapper nas is a dope mc
@cage91656 жыл бұрын
Impulsive Wandering I think you're missing the point of the performing.. Just because some Lil Shit plays a show where a bunch of teenagers lose it and get crazy doesn't mean it was a great performance.. Just because you get a gang of retards excited doesn't mean it was a great performance, just because people scream and get excited doesn't mean you're a great performer. Yeah, people lose their shit at Lil Yachty shows.. Does that automatically mean he's a great performer? No.

Jay-Z is better at fitting the mood/beat than Nas. Nas will be on a clubby ass song spitting some biblical philosophy rap, the next song be on a super grimy east coast beat rapping about throwing money and clubbing. Jay was always better at knowing when to go hard and when to stay out of the way and let the song breathe. He's a much better artist than Nas. By the way, Nas is my favorite lyricist (any music genre) ever, but he lacks in his ability to conform to a song's aesthetic.

JustLance 213 word! Vlad stays bringing in other factors. Jay is more famous, has Beyoncé, a prominent businessman, (even though Nas is too) but take away all their accomplishments, fame, status, beats etc and just compare voice, lyrics, flow, & delivery between em? Nas easily. And STILL Nas even with all that extra stuff added back in.
@sinematic067 жыл бұрын
Keanu Belle if you simply like Jay more than Nas because you identify with him as an artist more that's fine. You might like his beats more n all, there's nothing wrong with that. The problem with dudes that have arguments like Vlad, is they try to bring all these foreign topics into the discussion of who's better on the mic such as relevance & fame. That's not a good measuring stick right there. It becomes laughable, but if somebody likes Jay more with music related criteria then who can argue with that? More power to em but don't try to play Nas just because he's not as famous as Jay that's silly. And Nas has been putting in work these past few years in partnering and owning different companies so that's a mute point as well truthfully. They're both big in the business world, both legends, but if we even have to compare em, can we stick to just the music and leave all that otha out of it?

@teejay65257 жыл бұрын
antonio mosley Two different vibes. If they switched beats and re-wrote they verses, they would both adjust to the situation and u still come out wit 2 hot songs. Nas tends to be slightly more lyrical than Jay. Jay be talkin dat shit tho....nigga delivery is still flawless since '90somethin.

Tee Jay Well to me I don't really like jay z and prefer nas,nas is the better rapper in my opinion.

Vlad should stop trying to discredit one of the, if not the greatest MC. Alive.. Over beats.. BTW.. NAS Aways had fire beats

Poundz978 nah nah.. And miss a great lyricist. But people in the profession called him out for week beats. Vlad was on point. You are just on his jock. Lets keep it real.

Vlad got a point as a Fan.. however, the best body of work of who he considers the GOAT doesn't come close to illmatic. I will leave it at that...I am sure Vlad agrees with that lmao

***** Well like I said, if he focused on them he'd get more respect. Listen to 30 for 30, or draft day, or pound cake, He can be above average bar wise .
