The Fugees found great success with their second album, The Score, and Pras spoke in detail about incidents leading up to the album's release during a recent interview with VladTV. He explained that he was so dedicated to the album that he was living in the studio and homeless, but it all paid off in the end.
Pras said after listening to the album after it was first completed, he started crying because he knew that it was going to be something special. And he was very right about his premonition, as the album went seven times platinum and sold roughly $300 million worldwide.
To hear more of what Pras had to say, including why he doesn't think it's always smart to take advances from the labels, hit the above interview.

I had no idea who any of these ppl were, but as soon as the ship hits land in Dubai, I went to the mall and grabbed a CD player and those two CD's. 90's hip hop was and still is the best!

Ya because every rapper, singer and label cares if you have a degree? LOL. This is 2016 that shit doesn't matter as far as getting a degree goes but as far as learning the shit ya of course you need to learn it just like music theory. Its all about work ethic because that can't be taught you either got it or you don't. You're only as big as you're last hit.

I remember buying a Casette of the score and listening to it. I was a private school kid in Yorkshire UK and I absolutely loved it! Haha....true music transcends everything.

Vlad gets like the most random people to do interviews. Last time I saw Pras was around 2001, when he did "Miss California" track some Dante Thomas, or whatever his name was. Glad to know he's still alive.

DJ Vlad: From what I read, the label gave you $135,000? Pras (snappy): Who told you that? (Repeats) Who told you that? DJ Vlad (sheepish): It was, uh, Wikipedia. Now, see, if if was Nardwuar, he wouldn't have caved in so easily: "You're Pras, we have to know!"

Yeah. Pras is absolutely right about artist being screwed. Specially when it comes to points and owning the publishing rights.
