Ok another tip. When cleaning the toilet. Turn on exhaust fan if you have one. Place a lot more cleaning product in the bowl, close the lid and go do something else in the house for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes scrub the bowl, flush the toilet, rinse the toilet brush in fresh toilet water, place handle of brush on the rim of toilet, so the brush can drip dry into the toilet, turn off fan. Can you tell that I'm a proprietor of a cleaning business for 3 decades?

used a silicone scar patch for a dogbite scar on my face, workplace hazard. Completely helped with discoloration and flattened my scar within six months and I continue to use silicone for hydration and discoloration.Shout out to Dr. Andrea Gleich, another Houstonian dermatologist.

I used to do that same thing with new exciting stuff. Mine is because I grew up without a lot of money and so we really "saved" the good stuff when we were able to get something like that. I had to train myself to enjoy the things I get otherwise I'm just being wasteful. Now I receive it, take the wrapper off/open package immediately and happily put it in its new home in our home. Hope your mom is doing well!

EU banned the usage of a couple of silicones (cyclopentasiloxane amongst them) due to environmental issues they are causing. They are liquid, non biodegradable plastic that ends up in the waters for fish to consume.

That's great news! I had a botched surgery on my wrist & ended up getting bullied for it in high school; my mom got me a silicone patch, which I used for a year but I just assumed the scar got better because of time & mini lotion massage sessions I was giving it, since it was difficult to keep the silicone flat to the area.

I have a strong comforting history with fan noise from childhood and have used it my whole life to cultivate rest and good sleep. I loved the bedtime clip at the end with your Vornado sound. I will consider this brand when I need another fan. Sending hope & kindness to all. 💕

Yes, I use a white noise machine so I know what you mean. It has different levels of sound and one of them is the sound of a fan. I always fall asleep quickly on that setting.

I would say our home is a bit cleaner but since my husband and toddler are home all the time now, we definitely have to clean our floors more often!

Dr dray question, i know that you recommend cerave am. Is that enough for sun protection. I cant see myself using a teaspoon for my face. If i did that id have to buy the cerave moisturizer twice a week. How can i afford this it seems like a ton..

My silicone patches just came yesterday, and I wore them last night. My forehead has some wrinkles - semi deep ones, and wow, I am astounded. It's 3 p.m. and my forehead still looks much less wrinkled than normal. It took awhile for them to dry; I rinsed them after use, but other than that these may be a keeper, definitely going to keep them in my nightly routine for the next few weeks and see how it goes.

Happy Sunday Dr. Dray! Watching your video the other day reminded me to make soya milk. I use my vitamix blender for that. My house is never tidy especially now that my boys are all moved back from university but I have them to change light bulbs 😀. Thank you for haven’t missed a heart beat. Tip on window washing. Use car wash soap on the outside windows if windows are high up you can just scrub using your pole and microfiber scub pad then rinse with a hose and the glass will dry spot free.

I saw your first video of the SIO patches and I purchased them. After purchasing, I am having doubts. If they can ONLY go on clean skin I will not be able to use anything when I wear them, correct? I would appreciate more info (f/u review?) on them and any other possible silicone that products can be worn with other products. Thanks Dr. Dray! I am gonna have to try pumpkin in oatmeal, sounds delicious! I usually put cinnamon and slivered almonds in mine. Have a GREAT day!

I just started using the Sio patches this weekend. Question: if I usually moisturize and apply tretinoin at night, what do I do if I’m using the patches? It says to not use ANY creams or products under them. So that means if you are covering most of your face with them you can’t use your nighttime products 🤔

That's what I'm wondering about working them into my routine. I asked on IG and they clarified for me that the skin needs to be completely dry and free of product where the patches make contact to get the most use out of them 🤷

Did anyone ever get a reply to this? I’m using tret at night too and I don’t see how I can affectively use these if I can’t wear them at night, but I don’t want to give up the tret either

As a physical therapist I always recommend Vionics for clients. Great for aging feet that lose their fatty pads, great shock absorbers for people with hardwood/ceramic floors, and of course if you have plantar fasciitis, heel spurs or pronated feet. Please talk about the Sio pads. I find them so drying. They feel like duct tape when I take them off and feel like they are stretching my skin so I stopped using them.

I wondered that too so thanks for reminding me but since I know she religiously uses her tread knowing okay so Retin-A because my phone won't correct this, I'm assuming it's fine to put them on after that his dry down. Not sure about the slippers, but I know you can buy Vionic shoes and insoles at Dillard's as well. I have had mine for a year and they've been great! Super comfy for 8 hour shifts on my feet.

Hi dr. I hope you are doing well. You say to use clarifying once a week. If i shampoo my hair 2 to 3 times a week and i use a silicone based serum and a sulfate free shampoo, then when do I ideally use a clarifying shampoo? And if i do a keratin smoothening treatment then when should i use a clarifying shampoo? I'm from india and it's very humind jere and the water is salty in my area. And it's so hard to manage frizz. I have oily skin and enlarged pores. I found when I used products with silicone it made my pores bigger and clogged. Is it because maybe it was too much silicone? (Primer, moisturizer and foundation) all had dimethicone and used all at once daily. I had heard at the time that this was the reason for my pores getting bigger so I’ve been afraid to use anything containing silicone on my face since (like 4 yrs ago). Would maybe using just one product containing silicone be ok rather than multiple?

Just a few videos back , yep I'm losing my mind in lockdown so I can't tell you exactly what day, she discusses these silicone patches I believe they are called Sil and I think there is a link and that video or maybe you can just Google the patches. Imma get those too but trying to be careful with purchases while in lockdown so I don't have to rent a mobile attic to store my goods! Idle Minds, fingers, and a laptop along with a credit card can get you in lots of trouble.

Can you do a video explaining sunscreen and morning routines? I use ordinary serums prior to my sunscreen that is like a lotion. I have no idea if I am being protected with my routine. I use Olay complete moisturizer spf. Thanks! :) absolutely love the channel!

Hi just discovered your channel and loving it. I do have a question I'm 52 with rosacea and everything I seem to use makes me more red .what do you think of the brand Yeouth I found it on Amazon not sure if it's anywhere else. Girl, hopefully you're on lockdown with everyone else so should have plenty of time to go to dr. Dre's playlist. You'll be able to find just about any topic you can think of, my cleanser of choice CeraVe, moisturizer CeraVe in the tub, hyaluronic acid by Neutrogena, retin A brand name cuz my phone doesn't understand the other name that I'm saying, CeraVe moisturizing sunscreen and banana boat simply protect. If you check the playlist oh, there will be any number of things you can select from as you might prefer another brand. There are many others I think I'd like to try but it's good to have a lot of options because the store maybe out of something in particular that I like so I can always look for the backup. My rosacea has much improved by doing this simple routine. Night time cleanse with Cerave hydrating creamy cleanser. While skin is damp apply neutrogenia hydro boost gel cream, then apply Cerave PM lotion. In the morning apply an invisible zinc oxide and reapply midday along with a sun screen lip balm. I've done this for 3 months and my rosacea and associated skin plagues have improved 85%.
