Infact a korean musician said jin must struggle a lot to just sing like everyone else. I mean his voice can really mix up with each and everyone including the rappers if you see their debut days songs. Jin is the glue not just in vocals but also as a member of the group. Jungkook pronunciation: Jung = Cheong (soft "ch" sound, "eo" is a swallowed "ah" sound at the back of the throat on lower larynx, "ng" just as you'd pronounce in any "ing" word Kook = goog, the first k/g sound should be more like a glottal stop almost, the "oo" sound exactly as you'd pronounce it in words like "good" or "cook" & the last k/g should be almost non-existent, very light & almost swallowed back

The second syllable seems to start with almost a hard 'g'. I'm slowly making my way through your reactions, and I'm really enjoying the way you're doing like a descriptive analysis of what vocal techniques the guys are using to get certain effects. Your explanations of how they're doing things (like RM and playing with vowel shape/delivery, or j-hope's texture in his voice) is giving me a lot to chew on for my own noodling around with singing! Also your discussion of Jin's twang and how that makes his voice project more is really interesting! I've always wondered how he did that, since while he has the punchiest voice on the team it seemed kinda effortful to me and I was hoping he was using a technique that was safe for long-term vocal health (aha I'm a speech therapist who only knows a teeny bit of voice things, just enough of voice disorders to be mindful of professional voice users and vocal health lol)

i know you obviously dont wanna become just a dude who reacts to BTS but I think you'd be interested in one of their recent videos - they go through a ton of their songs in a medley and they cover a lot of different styles. the video name is "[2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) BTS ROOM LIVE #2021BTSFESTA" and it was released as a sort of tribute/celebration for their 8th anniversary that just happened. that's the background lol, but more importantly they sound amazing in it and theyre really covering a huge range of stuff in that. jimin hits some serious notes too! your videos are absolutely fantastic, i know NOTHING about singing but you explain in a way that makes perfect sense and you're very clear. i feel like i learn a lot about vocal cords/speech/singing through your videos - im no singer and dont intend to become one but i love learning.

Jungkook’s name is spelt 정국 in hangul. ㅈ= j, ㅓ= eo (short o sound like in sock- the other o, ㅗ, is like the o in the word home saying it in your accent), ㅇ at the end= ng, ㄱ=g, ㅜ= u/oo and then the g again. It’s romanised as a k as there are different rules when certain letters are at the end of a word. If you listen carefully to their pronunciation of the name (don’t go by Kookie’s pronunciation as he tends to slur it in his accent which makes it hard to make out), the Jung/Jeong is pronounced in between the u and short o sound, and the g/k at the end is kind of swallowed. You pronounce Jimin really well, like they do in Korean- most westerners pronounce it like Jim-in, but you’re definitely doing it right :) The riff was actually Jungkook, not V. That little Jimin holding the sign thing was well cute!

Jungkook is pronounced more like John-Gook, or even closer to Chon-Gook with last k being very quiet :) romanization for the western media doesn't do the pronunciation justice 😅
