I forgot how he was learning 2 languages Chinese and English. He’s so committed to everything. His hello performance is my favorite!! He placed second. Which considering he was a dark horse that no one heard of and he was up against very well known Chinese artists. He won them over !

Man accompanying him at the start of a video is his dad :))) Dimash is humble, caring . loving, family oriented young man... Please watch some of his interviews. The way he speaks about his parents, grandparents, his country is just amazing... This boy is full of love. Fame has not changed him at all, which is very rare these days. And he has it ALL. We, dears, just love him :)))

Thanks for not ragging on Dimash about the occasional non-perfecto English pronunciation 👍💐. Some don't realize English is Dimash's 3rd language. Not sure "rock" is Dimash's preferred genre since he enjoys and employs a variety of genres 🎶🎵, often mixes/matches several types in one song successfully - just genius! 👏

Thank you very much for appreciating how much work it is to sing in a language you don't speak. This song had to be learned phonetically as he spoke very little English at this point. Brian May saw this performance and stated he felt Freddie would be very pleased with it. 💙💙💙💙. Dimash definitely makes any cover he does his own ❤🤗❤

the high notes he sings at the end of the performance from the guitar solo to the end, they all sound like guitar riffs in vocal form to me and it's insane. he does it in across endless dimensions too and i always get goosebumps when i hear him do it

Thank you for your reaction and appreciation of Dimash talents and vocal abilities. I have been a Dimash fan for almost 4 years. I personally believe, Dimash is a Music Virtuoso of our time. He is from Kazakhstan and will be 27 (in May 2021). Dimash has been formally training and performing for over 21 years. At the age of 5 years old it was determined he had perfect pitch. Dimash is often referred to as the Best Singer (male) in the World. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide (bass to soprano to whistle register) vocal range. It is recorded that he has a range higher than Six (6) Octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller. Dimash will never discuss or confirm his octaves or ranges; he just says they are his tools to provide the best performance for his audience. Dimash calls his style an "Innovation" [Neo-Classicism] in the Classical Crossover Genre. There are many debates whether Dimash is a Tenor or Baritone. Many vocal coaches have the opinion that Dimash is a high Baritone. Dimash combines many Styles such as Classical (Opera), Contemporary (Modern, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rap), Estrada and traditional Kazakh folk music. Dimash is multi-talented, Singer [12 languages], Multi-instrumentalist [7 instruments], Composer and Performer. Димаш занял 2 место, разница с первым местом 0,18. Причем, в финале (может техническая поломка, чтоб не думать плохо..) у микрофона Димаша был прикручен звук. Он подавал сигнал об этом, но никто не реагировал..

@@JacobBurtonStudios What about Autumn Strong (Late Autumn)? The next song in the Singer. As you know, it is the first time Dimash sings in Mandarin. Learning the pronunciation in just one week and according to native Chinese, it is close to perfect (though Kazakh and Mandarin is very different language).

Dimash is the type of person/artist that is constantly desiring to learn & grow. He’s always learning some new little instrument or attempting a new thing with his voice. The scream is like that. As you see more & more of his newer stuff you’ll hear it used a bit. I think this is the earliest I know of him using it. His high mixed voice belts he went into in SOS- in years prior he sang that song he didn’t have that ability, but he did other amazing things. I watched a few hard to find performances where u could see him kind of trying the new thing out, then being more comfortable in the next later clip. Was cool to see the growth. I think he knows he has no real competition, but I think he puts a lot of pressure on himself internally.

Great reaction! The audience in the show it Chinese and I've read he learned the song phonetically as he didn't speak English at the time. He's learning English and now he improved a lot. Thanks for a nice and informative reaction. I hope you will react to Dimash more often 🙏🏼. About rock music is his favorite genre, I am sure she had misunderstood. Dimash love all kinds of genre, but his number one favorite artist is Michael Jackson. Next is Celine Dion and Lara Fabian. With these three on top, I doubt rock is his favorite. Besides, he is classical trained and have a bachelor degree in pop- and jazz music. (He has a master degree in composition). Please continue with Singer performances, or other performances from 2017. Sinful Passion is from late 2018. Best regards from Norway

Rock is not Dimash's favorite genre. I heard him say it. He listens to everything but his main preference is classical crossover and new directions. But he does appreciate rock and likes to do some. Thanks for your reaction. Considering Dimash had a week to learn this Queen song. He could barely speak English at the time . But he nails it and makes it his own. His Mum travels with the singer too and she is a Opera singer. About the Queen song I believe one of the original members of Queen saw the video and complimented him saying that he did a great job of the song.

I'm so glad you liked Dimash's rendition. At the time his English pronunciation was still terrible; but it gave me a window to gain even more respect for him as since then he has improved his English tremendously. This shows me that where he got to vocally, required the same level of hard work over 20+ years of continuous improvement. I can't imagine where he will be vocally and performance wise by the time he hits 30 if he's at this stratospheric level now!

SO excited to watch another of your reactions to Dimash, Jacob--in my opinion, one can never have enough Dimash or David Phelps! LOL Thanks for another truly informative reaction, with explanations of the need for correct, safe screaming technique for example, or, considering his background, for Dimash making an intelligent choice to able to meld a rock song with operatic influences in this performance. I also think it's very notable that you spoke of keeping in mind just how difficult it is to sing in a language which you're not fluent in, as that's really important to some singers and their chosen genre. Speaking of genres--the way it seems to me is that Dimash approaches a genre (say operatic), which he conquers, and then moves on to the next......and so on and so on, each time adding them to his ever growing collection of kinds of music from which to choose, and then giving them his own 'Dimash Twist' with different fusions. In saying this, it makes SO much sense to me that he's setting his sights on moving to the US to pursue the western market, such as with the recent release of his "Golden" music video, with its decidedly pop hook...and undeniable look. And speaking of "Golden," after seeing some of his acting ability (on stage or in other music videos), it would not surprise me in the least to watch him continue to branch out into acting as well. I mean, this guy can seem to do it all!!

There are many people connected with the music industry in the hall - producers, composers, professional performers who have already participated or will participate in this competition. And the rest of the listeners were selected for the presence of musical hearing.

Currently, the English language spoken by Dimash is much better. He also learns Chinese. He had little time to learn this song and he did not speak English at the time.Dimash always thanks the musicians after the performance. His modesty is known. When you hear Olimpico, Passione or Samaltau you will enter into new sensations. But that's not in this competition.

The contestants are all professional singers. Dimash took 2nd place. Sandi Lam a famous Chinese vocalist on a popularity level similar to Whitney Huston, won 1st place. Some Dimash fans feel there was a bit of nationalism in not awarding a a non-Chinese singer 1st place - but the judging/voting was by the audience.

I think the Singer got a lot of criticism for this in 2017 and that's why a year later they wanted Jessie J to win. I personally think 2018 was Hua Chenyu better. But this made him stronger and he won the next year. .

Thanks again for a wonderful interesting reaction. If you want you can let the video play right to the end, Sometimes he speaks and says some cool stuff :) , but you don't have to that's up to you. If you want to stop and replay something that's also OK, Dears don't mind and enjoy it when reactors comment like you do on interesting things. He actually has sang some nice opera style songs and he is also great when singing with other artists. He is respectful of them and I have never heard him sing over them even though he could if he wanted to :) Enjoying the journey! As they say in Mexico - Un gran Abrazo!

Dimash took second place in this his last competition. the first place person, the female Sandy Lam she was the one with her hands over her mouth. We have to remember Dimash is the invited guest into a all Chinese contest, Dimash is Kazakh, he is now considered the little brother to China artist, Even though he outsang & performed all of them. The President of the musical artist of Bejing & also a Music professor is now using Dimash's techniques in his classes he teaches. WE Dears call his language deficit Dinglish, it improves every day, even though he still says , I Very love you, rather than I love you veery much. Dimash Dinglish- I love it.

One thing about his English and this competition - The Chinese audience votes for their favorite performances. I doubt that most of them would recognize any of Dimash's English pronunciation issues anyway. About the scream - Freddy does it in that place on the official Queen video. For some behind the scenes footage see the Y.Tube video "Dimash Kudaibergen First Impressions - all the wonderful moments - KZfaq". A new contestant on Ep. 9, who had been watching the competition gave him the gift of a pair of knee pads. Also, since you are going to be seeing the members of The Lion Band in the backstage shots all the time, check out their song "We Are Lion" from Episode #1. They ended up in 3rd place.

@@JacobBurtonStudiosIf you are still there - I didn't see anyone address Gloria Wu's KZfaq channel, and how it relates to Episode #4 "Autumn Strong". Gloria Wu has many versions of Dimash's Singer performances with added English subtitles, and short introductions with valuable insights into the backstories to the songs. The odd time, like for Ep. 12 "Confessa and The Diva Dance" she replaces performance footage with movie clips which I guess she felt had parallel themes to the song. I'd rather see the performance even without the subtitles. Episode #7 "Daididau", is a song sung in Kazakh about a specific incident in Kazakh history. Without her intro, you won't know the context of the lyrics. (These intros have additional footage of Dimash where you need to press the "cc" button to see what he is saying.) Episode #8 is "Daybreak", which is in Chinese. Some will say to watch the version from the Bastau concert instead because it is a better vocal performance. Many reactors have done the Singer performance followed by the Bastau performance in one reaction. The reason for this is that Gloria Wu's into gives the tragic story the song is based on, footage of Dimash talking to the song's writer, and a whole other dramatic story relevant to that performance. He lost his voice the day before the performance, and her intro shows him going to the doctor's to get injections to his throat. So that situation added another level of tension to the performance. On the episode after "The Show Must Go On", Episode #4 "Autumn Strong" (or "Late Autumn"), which was the first time in the competition Dimash had to sing in Chinese , Gloria Wu's video gives the backstory to the song, which makes a big difference in it's emotional impact, and has footage of Dimash talking about the challenge of singing in Chinese (use the "cc"). The problem with this video is that it is slowed down so that it ends up a semitone lower than the original (probably to avoid copyright problems). Many fans hate the result, so one solution is to watch Gloria Wu's intro first, and then switch to another version with subtitles available on KZfaq. I watched her version first without knowing about this, and not having anything else to compare it to, I thought it was one of his most beautiful and emotional songs, and knowing backstory explains the reaction of the Chinese audience. Besides a lot of other behind the scenes footage, and inteviews with Dimash, Gloria Wu's channel has a treatment of "S.O.S." with a history of that song in her intro.

Hi Jacob, love to see you back with Dimash, very much like your indepth analyses. btw, Dimash does like rock music very much and he is awefully good at it! If it is his favourite music genre, I don't know. He turned down an offer from the Astana Opera to pursue a career as a classical opera singer, and chose to go his way in the contemporary music direction, I guess that includes a lot. For sure, he loves rap, in particular Eminem, that's what he had said in an interview. Cheers from Vienna!

some suggestions with their languages: daididau - kazakh (if you want see something from his culture react this) ogni pietra - italian opera song (composed for dimash) the singer ep 11 confessa and diva dance - confessa is an italian song and diva dance is lyricless 😂😂 (also he changes the song every time he sing diva dance, you can check them all in your free time) my heart will go on - yes the celine dions song! i love his version too (especially last part..
