Hey there here is a short video demonstrating differences in Vocal Techniques that we use. How to differentiate, and use belting vs mixing vs heavy cord engagement vs falsetto, so you have more CHOICES in your singing!!!! Enjoy.. please get a hold of me if you are looking for help...

What a great video to make people aware of how your lessons could help them. You need more of these, and I should be contacting you soon!!

You bring up something that a lot of teachers don't bring up. Like blending falsetto, head voice and belting. For me, transition from head voice or falsetto to belt is really difficult. Now I realize that I might be belting "too much". Maybe I can get that belt quality with less effort. Will try it out! But I reckon breath support is absolutely crucial when doing this

+MrKennyBones thats correct you have to gradually bring in the resonance. but watch out with support. don't get caught in the pushing and strain like a poop support. just make sure your breath is flowing

+daniel formica I'm a beginner and tried to follow that support clenched ass thing. Just made my voice sound strained for certain things.... Knowing how to tackle different ranges is gonna take a while!

Totally agree about staying in belt the entire song! No good! Good video overall. To the singers out there, we have LOTS of options with the voice and should be using them all!

3:15... yep that’s what I sound like 😂. It’s not easy to lighten up if you always used to sing in low keys but loud in the chest. I’m literally singing and talking inside my head “back off idiot you are gonna blow the chords out!”

Ricardo Marlow but remember that sometimes depending on the student they are quite leaning in enough to begin with so lightening is not a good thing. The chest needs to be established as well as the falsetto but correctly

Hey! Really nice video, you are very straight-forward! I have a question though, I've always had this problem that I can't bring my head voice down without it cracking widely, like there is no connection between my chest voice and my head voice, therefore I can't learn how to start mixing and that stuff. If I send you a little audio clip of how it sounds like could you help me know what's happening?

Daniel, i'm interested in what you said about 'speaking in mix'. is there any other technique you use to make sure you get there? (when i'm trying it it seems as if i'm feeling it 'in the mask'). Or, another angle: is this somewhat synonymous with what you talked about once, of 'speaking with support'? And, as always, thank you for your wisdom man!

Jeff Douglas I think your voice gets stronger in time it takes on more of a mix type sound . A speaking voice that is not in a healthy way is a hard habit to fix especially because we use it so much and for years. Good vocal technique will spill over to the speaking voice

3:30 no example of the RIGHT way? I mean, most people don't have high voices like Perry so the range is just going to be right and thus... they ALL have to strain and if they have any hope of hitting the note with the SOUND too, well, it aint gonna happen so they hit the note HOWEVER they can. That's my theory. :)

TruthSurge watch his video called “singing lessons SUPPORT”, he shows “open arms” exactly how you want to do it, then try to apply the same thing to don’t stop believing. The notes are up a little higher, but the idea is the same.
